Thanks for the inquiry. The inside diameter is 8", the depth is 8.5" and there is a rim at the bottom that is 7.5".

A: Thank you for your inquiry. This is a hand painted piece using cobalt blue glaze. One of the technique of hand painting is “shading”. Some parts of pattern color shades from deep to light color and they are not uniform when look closely. 

There is no date on the box. This is a new piece.

**Q: How blue is the color** *(in Product Questions)*

Sorry to ask if it has already been answered - but many similar stools use the color "celadon" to describe the color and im wondering if this is similar.  Is this a very pale blue or can you absolutely tell its blue right when you see it?

A: Hello, 
No worries! We love answering questions to help you best choose one of our items.
I can tell it is definitely blue, a light blue. Celadon is one of those colors that can have many definitions. I have attached a couple of pictures, the top has the white foam as a point of reference, and the other one is next to another "Celadon" jar which is more green, you can really tell the difference there.
