Steve met us at our home for photos and measurements, listened closely to our needs, and within a couple of weeks we had 3 options to choose from. We quickly chose a design, fine-tuned it, and we were on our way! We couldn’t know any LESS about architecture, it’s like another language to us! Steve patiently answered all our questions and took care of all the details. We LOVE our new addition . . . every square inch is perfect. We feel confident in recommending Axiom to our friends and family and already have! THANKS AXIOM!" > -Deb & Scott Prouty **★★★★★ — getteas, April 2015** > I highly recommend Axiom. Jim Kelleher and all of his staff were a pleasure to work with. Jim's design transformed our somewhat quirky layout into a simple, elegant space well-suited to the way we want to live in our home. We love it. **★★★★★ — Jen P, April 2015** > Axiom was wonderful to work with. We had a small plot with wetland and zoning restrictions so it wasn't easy. They helped us through the Zoning board and Conservation commission meetings. They came up with several plans for a new house for us to work with. They listened to our wishes and worked with us to make it all fit. Axiom was there with us the whole way during the construction process. They would come by and check in and e-mail us progress reports weekly or every other week. If things seemed to be moving slower then they should Axiom was there with a poking to move things along. I don't plan on building another home but if I did I would hire Axiom Architects again!!! **★★★★★ — loveyourpawz, March 2015** > We chose Axiom Architects to design our 3200 sq ft home based on the quality of the symmetry, scale and points of interest we admired in homes they designed or renovated in our area, as well as referrals we received from other satisfied clients. > > Jim translated our 'wish list' into reality, while keeping in mind that we had a specific budget. He even divided the project into Phase 1 and Phase 2 for future additions of an outdoor pergola and a finished basement. I really liked his value-added perspective. For example, suggesting the size and placement of windows to accentuate the light that comes into our home. He also had an excellent sense of how we would live in open-concept main-floor space and maximizing the sight lines to focal points and flexibility to scale up or down entertainment seating based on the need to accommodate guests. > > Judging by the interest we receive from people who either enter, or slow down as they walk by to take pictures, I believe Axiom Architects did a first rate job of designing a beautiful home for us, which we truly love. We have recommended Jim and his group to others without hesitation. **★★★★★ — josephhearne, March 2015** > Designed and overseer-ed construction of two houses. Great quality, cannot say enough good about Axiom Architects. From the start to the finish everything that they did was of the best quality. **★★★★★ — clkb, March 2015** > I worked with the Axiom team to design a custom built home with a tricky lot, having interviewed at least three other firms. Axiom worked with me on staying within my budget and took all my need/wish list items into consideration. The end result was exactly as I had envisioned if not better. Every one of the architects at Axiom are not only highly trained experts but also kind, friendly and congenial. I highly recommend Axiom. **★★★★★ — GREEN on GREEN landscape design / build, Jan. 2013** > Jim and his team are superb professionals! They not only worked tirelessly to bring together all of the 'wants' and 'needs' in our program, they also kept their eye on the budget . . . a true rarity among design professionals. > > Axiom took our fragmented vision and gave it heft and substance, literally bringing to life our perfect future home. We always felt HEARD. Everything proposed was specifically for US, not for the architect, not for fluff. From the overall design theme down to the smallest details, as well as keeping a close watch on the energy efficiency and green-ness of the building, Jim and team have worked for the best for us. This process has been a collaboration in the truest sense of the word . . . people working together to achieve a common goal. > > To accomplish all of this and to also work to stay within our ability to afford to build our new home? Priceless! > > We highly recommend Jim Kelleher and Axiom Architects! ## Selected projects - [Wade Cottage](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/wade-cottage-pj-vj~1912095) - Location: Cohasset, MA - Photos: 9 - [New Seabury Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/new-seabury-residence-pj-vj~1108468) - Location: Mashpee, MA - Photos: 8 - [Meehan Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/meehan-residence-pj-vj~960515) - Location: Cohasset, MA - Photos: 6 - [Sullivan, G Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/sullivan-g-residence-pj-vj~1465459) - Location: Hull, MA - Photos: 3 - [Private Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/private-residence-pj-vj~960533) - Location: Scituate, MA - Photos: 5 - [Boca Grande Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/boca-grande-residence-pj-vj~1001074) - Location: Boca Grande, FL - Photos: 5 - [Pineau Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/pineau-residence-pj-vj~1062754) - Location: Duxbury, MA - Photos: 7 - [Cohasset Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/cohasset-residence-pj-vj~1357179) - Location: Cohasset, MA - Photos: 6 - [Sammartino Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/sammartino-residence-pj-vj~1345283) - Location: Scituate, MA - Photos: 5 - [Englander Pool House](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/englander-pool-house-pj-vj~960560) - Location: Cohasset, MA - Photos: 5 - [Goldberg Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/goldberg-residence-pj-vj~1001265) - Location: Cohasset, MA - Photos: 6 - [Flanagan Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/flanagan-residence-pj-vj~1076523) - Location: Cohasset, MA - Photos: 8 - [Hearne-Brett Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/hearne-brett-residence-pj-vj~1024241) - Location: Norwell, MA - Photos: 9 - [Sullivan Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/sullivan-residence-pj-vj~1001305) - Location: Cohasset, MA - Photos: 5 - [McLennan Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/mclennan-residence-pj-vj~1001151) - Location: Cohasset, MA - Photos: 10 - [Molla Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/molla-residence-pj-vj~1000976) - Location: Norwell, MA - Photos: 4 - [Gropius House](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/gropius-house-pj-vj~960508) - Location: Cohasset, MA - Photos: 4 - [Warner Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/warner-residence-pj-vj~1062808) - Location: Barnstable, MA - Photos: 8 - [Gainey Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/gainey-residence-pj-vj~1001243) - Location: Cohasset, MA - Photos: 8 - [Scituate Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/scituate-residence-pj-vj~1345220) - Location: Scituate, MA - Photos: 5 [See all 28 projects](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/architects-and-building-designers/axiom-architects-inc-pfvwus-pf~1452096624) ## Ideabooks - [Storage](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/64841345/list/storage) — 22 ideas - [Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/64841244/list/kitchen) — 24 ideas - [Bathrooms](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/58763467/list/bathrooms) — 18 ideas - [Shingle Style](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/54883822/list/shingle-style) — 10 ideas - [Contemporary Interiors](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/47901911/list/contemporary-interiors) — 10 ideas - [Pool Houses](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/55360215/list/pool-houses) — 10 ideas [See all 6 ideabooks](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/users/jkelliher) ## Community Q&A **Q: Help! Kitchen back splash dilemma** *(in Design Dilemma)* Need opinions badly! Year later we'still undecided, can't take it anymore, I have a 6 and a24 month old so my husband went and got a few samples to help us, but still not positive on what to do. So I took some pictures of what my husband picked today and praying I can get everyone else thought as I cannot make a decision for the life of me anymore :( first is of the two subway tiles put in a place with light, next two are the same subway tiles but under the counter so it's a little darker and last is another piece that my husband thinks would look good behind stove with the darker subway tile bordering it and the rest of the kitchen doing a strip of the stone like backsplash in the middle or a little higher with the dark subway tiles everywhere else... I hope I explained this so everyone will understand the idea... But any help and opinions would be greatly appreciated!!!! A: I agree with Darzy that a lighter grey glass tile would work nicely in your kitchen. Another very low price option for the outlets is to simply replace the white covers with stainless steel covers sold in any major hardware store. **Q: Walkable** *(in Photo Questions)* Can you climb up and the light can it be switched from lower level A: Is the copula accessible from within the space for bulb changing? --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
