We have been without a kitchen since 10/05/18 was suppose to be completed by Christmas. They delivered the cabinets after 6:30 pm. It was pitch black, two young men delivered and dropped every cabinet. 3 of the large cabinets they dropped again putting them in the garage. Sure enough when Installer came to install one cabinet was indeed broken and one of the doors were broken...still waiting on replacement...they were given the specs for all the new appliances but that didn’t go well either. We have called requesting completion. ....still waiting.... please don’t be fooled like we were They talk a good talk but they definitely don’t walk it They are getting 1 star because it won’t let me give zero. An estimate with the pricing breakdown was emailed to the email address provided by your husband on March 28th. After doing much research and meeting with numerous contractors, we chose Mr. Allen Cobb, owner of The Cabinet Store. Allen worked with us on cabinet design and from there we selected the cabinets/design that were within our budget. Although we have a fairly small kitchen, the work we wanted done seemed daunting. Allen did an excellent job of walking us through each step of the project and assuring us the work would be handled efficiently and professionally. > The longest part of this project was waiting on the cabinets which took about 6 weeks. Once the cabinets arrived, the work began quickly. The removal of cabinets and wall for the existing pantry took 1 day and the cabinets were installed in the next 2 days. Doug, who did all of the demolition and cabinet installation worked non-stop to insure that all parts of this kitchen came together until completion of the project. It’s so encouraging to have had someone like Doug on the team. He is a skilled artisan with a great sense of humor even during some of our more tense moments. Doug always handled the finishing touches like a pro! Walt handled the electrical very well, and the plumbing disconnect was done quickly by Dan at Brandon Plumbing. We worked separately with the countertop contractor and were very pleased with this turnaround. This wait took about 10 days and we managed without water in the kitchen. Some companies quoted over a month without water; not something we could live with. Molly, our Project Manager at The Cabinet Store, did an exceptional job of scheduling all the contractors; constantly keeping us updated with work date/time arrival and what would be accomplished that day. What a pleasure working with Molly! She was always on top of each phase and such a professional! Oscar with Delta Ply Wall did an amazing job repairing the wall and ceiling where the pantry had been removed. What a craftsman! Bob and his team with Non-Stop Painting came in and performed their magic with the painting; going above and beyond our expectations. > What a pleasure it was working with Allen and his team. We’ve heard about the many problems with other companies, but not the case here. Although we use the term “team” a lot, it’s because this project would not have worked without all the folks working together to make it happen.
