Hank Oslinger, the owner of AARONAL HOMES is the best. His knowledge of the building process along with a strong sense of aesthetics in style is unparalleled. Our current house was built during Covid when builders were dealing with price escalations and shortages of materials and labor. Many questions and challenges were prevalent, dozens of phone calls texts and emails were exchanged, Hank answered every single one. In cases of design challenges Hank always had good ideas for a resolution. He was on the job site to meet with me whenever ask. The man works 6 days a week and 12-14 hours days. It is naive to think building a truly custom home is without frustration and challenges. Hank always kept his cool, answered all questions and put myself and wife at ease. He is one of those rare people that you can't help but like. **★ — chandoaj, June 2023** > It really pains me to have to write this review but we built an almost 2-million-dollar retirement home from initial architectural plans to final construction with Aaronal homes. I will get right to the point, every step of the way during construction we had to be our own quality control, oversee everything that the builders’ sub-contractors did to ensure quality and compliance to the original design plans. Do not expect this builder to do so, I can give you a hundred examples but the most egregious is our foundation supports were not constructed in accordance with the Stafford County approved construction plans and even after our building inspector and I identified this to the builder he tried to tell me they were within compliance and to my dismay did so right to my face. I had to engage the Stafford County Deputy Director for construction permits and compliance who could not believe the mess he saw from the pictures sent to his office (I would be glad to share them with you!). The builder then told the county inspector he had never saw the identified shortcomings (the inspector told me so during a follow up call?). We still have a temporary occupancy permit for a house we have been living in for a year because the builder never finalized and closed out the electrical permit for power running to our pool and shed. He again was going to let this go and have it hang over my family’s head without our knowledge, we had to discover this shortcoming ourselves when we engaged the county permitting office on the foundation issue. Now the builder wants to dig holes all over our established sod lawn to close out the permit a year later! My wife and I are both 30-year retired Army officers, we have a special needs child and again to our regret the construction of what was to be our dream home has added and continues to provide significant unnecessary stress to our lives. I can tell you many other similar occurrences that have plagued us during this construction but would warn you if you use Aaronal homes be ready to check/verify everything yourself, hire a professional building inspector at the end and be prepared for an experience far more stressful than it ever should be. Hank personally stands by his word and work. Several years after we moved in when we had a problem with some exterior trim and I called Hank to tell him about my problem and ask for recommendations on how best to fix it. Hank told me not to worry and he sent his crew over to fix it at no charge to me. We have been very happy with our home and the service Hank gave us, he does not disappear after building and selling you a home. He and his staff are real professionals and I highly recommend him.
