He completed a commercial new build project for us (warm restaurant shell) from the studs and we were very happy with Jack and his team. He collaborated well with with our engineers and designers and always was able to provide them with quick answers and good detail. Both projects were performed by Jack and his highly professional crew with care and precision. Jack setup an excellent dust-control with zippered plastic, that still allowed his workers easy access. He was always here for the major transitions like demo, plumbing, electrical, corian and fixtures, mudding, painting, and onsite several days during the week. He even did the floor tiling himself. We could see that Jack takes a great deal of pride in the craftsmanship of the work, and we've been very happy with the upgrade. > > In 2018 we worked with the same architect to design a backyard ADU. Construction was delayed by Covid shutdown, but in a leap of optimism in spring of 2021, we had Jack start. We knew it would be difficult, as he had to assemble a new crew from scratch under tight labor availibilty, and materials were getting ever more difficult to find. Jack & I agreed I would be flexible on material costs and schedule. > > To minimize disturbance to the neighbors, demolition of existing structures was done by hand. This was the 1st construction job for several of the crew, and Jack closely supervised and trained them. Jack handled the numerous dump boxes, and dealt with the unplanned engagement of a hazmat company after a city inspection found asbestos in the old structure. > > A perimeter foundation was used for one new structure, and a slab for the other; Jack's crew did all the earth work for both, including french drainage. When the concrete pumper trucks came in for the pours, it was like a big party as the concrete guys had worked with Jack before; Jack did a lot of the hose work himself, while directing his guys to get out the air bubbles. > > Jack and his crew did all the framing, insulation, and exterior wrap. At the same time Jack was coordinating the plumbers, painters, and electrician trades, and scheduling tile, hardwood, roofing, and corian deliveries.
