In fact, we were under a temporary CO due to the fact that the state furloughed elevator inspectors for several months during the height of the pandemic, not due to any issues with the actual construction. > Bill did a great job, was wonderful to deal with, and I would be pleased to show my home to any of his clients or prospects. While you can see for yourself the quality of the work, you can get an even better picture of my experience by understanding how he dealt with problems that came up, which are part of any large project like this. > First, the wrong size moulding was delivered, installed and painted throughout the house before I realized the issue. Bill, tore out the old and installed the new – and, no one would know that happened given the quality of the finished project. > Second, in our reverse living home, we had squeaks coming through to the first floor from people walking on the second floor. I spent some time researching the issue before Bill arrived, and was expecting to have to navigate whether or not the issue was due to a flooring manufacturing defect. As soon as Bill heard the noise, he said it was his issue and he would take care of it. The strength of his response did not stop there. He proposed a solution that was more expensive (for him) and time consuming than what others, including a trusted contractor I used at home, believed should be done. Bill’s diagnosis was different from the others I consulted with and he took ownership of the solution he had proposed. He finished the work in the timeframe he advised, fixed the problem to our satisfaction and returned our home to exactly how it looked before he undertook the corrective work. **Comment from Brower Construction:** > Thank you for the kind words. Note that touch paint does not match, nails through cabinets sides, oven cabinet was butchered during construction and the island redone twice and now we are redoing ($2500 materials). This contractor does not use weather appropriate material. In less than 6 months we had rusty nails on an ocean block home. Bill claimed it was a one time incident and replaced the section. After the winter, we had rusty nails through-out the house which he refused to replace. House siding was faced-nailed which we noted that this was not appropriate. Bill stated that this is done all the time. Later, we found out that he voided our Certainteed warranty. Since Bill is so willing to display our kitchen, feel free to ask for our contact information. We would be more than happy to show you his poor workmanship! **Comment from Brower Construction:** > I made every effort to remedy the problems that this customer had but to no avail > I had the architect reach out to them as well as the New Home Warranty Department, but they did not want the items resolved. It is unfortunate but no matter what is recommended by myself, the architect or the NJ New Home Warranty Division they will not be satisfied. Instead of resolving the problems they are trying to discredit my company.
