We added on to the rear of the house, including a basement, and redid the floors in much of the first floor and converted a bedroom to a bathroom on the second floor. The project included rebuilding a bowing foundation wall and relocating our bulkhead to access the new portion of the basement. > Steve subcontracts with a lot of different people and they all were very courteous and professional. We were very happy with the quality of the work done. Steve was available via email, phone, or in person. We live in a house that was built in 1852, so there were a number issues that came up due to the house's age. Steve was able to handle the issues and kept added costs within reason. Steve worked with our architect throughout the project . One of the reasons we selected him is because he is also an architect and we felt the pair would work well together to address any issues with our aging house. > > > > In 2013, we decided to do a further addition on the house to increase our number of bedrooms and asked Steve to do the second addition. He again worked with the same architect and they helped us design the new space to meet our needs and our budget. At that point, we had a toddlers, so we appreciated how Steve and his crews maintained a safe work environment even with a young child around. This time we added another bedroom, bathroom, screen porch, and study. We were again pleased with the people he brought in to do the work and the quality of the work done. The work was done efficiently with the bulk of the addition being completed within 3 months.
