**★★★★★ — K R, April 2025**

> I’m so grateful to Brenda for turning my ideas into something even better than I envisioned. She brought warmth, creativity, and total professionalism to every step of the project! I highly recommend her, and I’m looking forward to working with her again on future projects!

**★★★★★ — Fully furnishing a newly constructed home, April 2025**

> I was so happy with Brenda's services. As someone who has difficulty articulating what I need and like when it comes to home decor, Brenda's great listening skills and vast experience made all the difference. I was thrilled with her suggestions and guidance. She is a delightful person and a pleasure to work with. I have a smaller home and wanted a casual and open, airy look and got exactly what I wished for. Five stars!

**★★★★★ — Asra Rahman, April 2024**

> I’ve had the pleasure of working with Brenda for a year now. She has taken the time to listen to what I had in mind and helped me bring my vision into focus then to fruition. She’s helped make our house a home. I’ve appreciated the time and effort she’s taken to come over to our home and sit down with us to go over exactly how we would use the space and what actually fits and where.

**★★★★★ — Bob Wall, April 2024**

> Who needs a dinning room any more? Not I, so I had an empty room with some ideas but Brenda was quite helpful with ideas and follow through. The “lounge” looks great! Her willingness to help me start and then Dinah this project was the best. New chairs and a great cabinet to accent the room. Her suggestions on paint color and flooring there and the entire second floor turned out great. Same in the family and sun room, great direction and very helpful in making it ALL happen. So after three rooms with fresh paint and one completely redone and then the entire second floor flooring upgraded it looks like a new home! Brenda Muller is top of the line here and my home. Thanks.

> Brenda stepped in when our designer left EA to complete decorating our new townhome.
> We were very impressed that she wanted to meet us at our home to get to know us and listen to our ideas.
> When she returned, she came prepared with design boards that included several options right down to paint and wall paper selections! WOW!
> She is talented, knowledgeable, a great listener, and master in the field of design.
> We look forward to continue working with Brenda and highly recommend her.

**★★★★★ — Gretchen Pipoly, Sept. 2023**

> Brenda was very helpful and professional. our family room looks great after she gave us color ideas and found a few key pieces.

**★★★★★ — John Gilstrap, Aug. 2023**

> Brenda is a Godsend, so very different from other decorators we have used over the years. Her super power is the willingness and ability to listen. All too often, decorators and designers arrive with preconceived notions of what THEY want an area to look like. Fact is, my wife's tastes are divergent from my own. Brenda skillfully found our common ground and made our new home beautiful. In fact, though our contract with her has expired, we still seek her input on major purchases. Quit thinking about whom to use. Hire Brenda Miller.

**Comment from Brenda M. Miller Designer of Interior Spaces:**

> Thanks so much for the kind words- it was such an inspiring project for me. Starting from construction to the completion of your beautiful home. My biggest reward was gaining dear new friends for life!

**★★★★★ — S Danto, Aug. 2023**

> We had been trying to redo our living room for many years with no success. We met Brenda by chance, showed her our home, which is extensively decorated, and left her to create a new vision. She spend a week drawing up a fantastic design, suggested the chairs, rug, lamps and all the other furnishing and along with colors to blend a beautiful living room. Together we then slightly tuned that design and the colors in a partnership. Bottom line we loved it all, we disposed of all of the existing living room furniture and purchased 100% of the suggested design. Putting this into perspective we have a large 7500 square foot house home but could not arrive at a solution design until we met Brenda.
> As an aside, as she walked through our home she was also able to make other suggestions to make the total house better. We are working with her now on a few of the other items identified by her. We very strongly recommend Brenda because of her positive creativity and her ability to work with a customer.

**Comment from Brenda M. Miller Designer of Interior Spaces:**

> I cannot thank you enough for trusting me with your home. I am excited in seeing my suggestions come to life!

**★★★★★ — peg, June 2023**

> Brenda is a fantastic interior decorator. She helped us on our remodel for our Primary and Hall bathroom. She quickly responded when I reached out to her for help. She came to our house to see the bathrooms, listened to our thoughts and needs and then came back to us shortly after with photos and tile samples to help us make our best choices. She also then patiently answered all our questions and gave us her honest input on what would and wouldn’t work plus many ideas we had not thought of. She has continued to answer my questions throughout the remodel whenever I reach out to her. I highly recommend Brenda for your Interior Designer needs.

**Comment from Brenda M. Miller Designer of Interior Spaces:**

> I am thrilled you are enjoying your new bathroom- I don't think I would ever have to go to a spa!

**★★★★★ — Naomi S, May 2022**

> Brenda has a great eye. And even more importantly, she is kind, patient, and honest. I really trust her advice. I’d love to one day have the full budget to let her use my home as a canvas; but in the meanwhile she has been an awesome guidepost as I navigated making my home into a space that I love and find comfort in. She is simply FAB.

**Comment from Brenda M. Miller Designer of Interior Spaces:**

> You are too kind. It has been such a joy working on your new home.

**★★★★★ — Dana Blumberg, March 2022**

> Brenda was great to work with. She went the extra mile and designed five beautiful spaces in our home. Brenda was very responsive to all my questions and requests! We love our home!

**★★★★★ — Aimee Norwood, March 2022**

> I highly recommend Brenda for interior design. We met at Ethan Allen. I knew I wanted two sofas and what style I wanted. What I didn't know was that to really pull my room together cohesively, was that I needed two side tables and a coffee table, new lamps, art, a rug, and the right fabrics. Her knowledge of texture and pattern and scale were immensely beneficial in helping me find the perfect items for my room. Every day, I think how much I love the room we created together.

**Comment from Brenda M. Miller Designer of Interior Spaces:**

> It was such fun working with you and the family! I hope we can work together again.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Chandelier question** *(in Home Decorating)*

We have been given a chandelier from a family member who no longer needs it. I am wondering if it is too large to go over my current dining room table. Our home is in the City of Chicago so it is somewhat narrow for reference. Including photo of the current setup in my home and another photo of the chandelier.

A: Personally I like larger to make the WOW factor. Just try it:)

**Q: large TV stand** *(in Home Entertainment)*

We are just finishing our basement and my husband bought a 75” TV for the area (wall mounted). What type of tv stand do you think I should get? Should it be same length or longer than TV?

A: Longer than the TV- black would be nice so it will all blend together and look like one unit.

**Q: Need Guidance with Couch Color** *(in Building a Home)*

I'm having difficulty deciding on what color couch will look best in this space and will be easy to accent off of. We went furniture shopping last night, and finally found a couch that works really well for us. However, it only comes in two colors (special ordering colors will take 4-6 months and we don't have time for that as we are moving in within a week). Below are the two options. I always pictured us having a light gray or navy blue couch, so this threw me for a loop. I planned on accenting the room with navy blue and orange in the form of pillows, throws, and an area rug to bring in some color. My options for a couch color are a dark brown or a beige/khaki color. I don't know if I will be able to use the accent colors that I wanted to with these options. Also, I'm not sure if the brown will be too dark for the space (and it will show pet hair), and I'm also not sure how I would really incorporate the beige/khaki because nothing else in the house is really this color. I'm just looking for some advice/opinions of houzz users.

Here is the beige color, in the store it appeared to have slightly more yellow tones to it.

Here is the brown, which seemed darker in person.

Here is the space it is going into, against the stairway wall and then coming out into the open living room. Note that the stairs are now stained to match the floor. (Also dark brown). We do plan on having an area rug.

Here is the fireplace and tv that the couch will be facing.

Thanks for your help.

A: The lighter couch will keep the room light and airy. It also gives you the opportunity to style it with darker colors if you like the richness of the darker couch. Add a warm throw with dark pillows. It goes nicely with the fireplace and a nice contrast to the darker elements in the kitchen area. Your eye won;t be dawn to just a dark huge couch, but with the lighter tone you will see the "whole" room:)

**Q: Dining Room and Leaning Mirrors** *(in Home Decorating)*

I am considering placing three leaning mirrors against a large wall in my dining room.
The dining room wall size in over 100 inches high and 109 inches wide.
The possible mirrors are 30 inches wide by 82 inches high.
The ceiling is vauted and open concept.
The mirrors would reflect the light in the candle light fixture.

Click on the photos to open for larger view.

I prefer neutrals have a rustic wine country kind of vibe.
My concern is would it be too much brown and ivory. I could put color on the dinign room table for an accent.
Also, what design mirror? One has the raw live edge type the other is more simple yet beautiful.
Thank you in advance for any input!

A: I like the idea of light reflection, but I honestly think three mirrors is way too much and I am concerned with safety. Would you consider a buffet and mirrors hung above it on the wall to give you the same effect?

**Q: Help with table centerpiece** *(in Home Decorating)*

Please help me decorate my table! I feel like I keep swinging and missing on this for some reason. I had black candles and a black candlabra but after we installed the light it felt too similar. So I switched it out for the gold box with some fall stuff in it but it felt too formal or old fashioned.
Then I found this velvet runner which I thought would be perfect with the teal and mint accents in the rest of our house, but the birch candle holder seems kinda lonely. I'm definitely on a budget and I think my husband will kill me if I buy another candle holder lol.

A: You might want to consider five hurricanes or five candlesticks down the center of the table. or a gathering of a seasonal floral and two vases.

**Q: Help with family room rug.** *(in Home Decorating)*

This is the 5th rug I have purchased. Not sure where to place the rug under the sectional. Also should I keep the rug or keep looking. Help.

A: You need to keep the defined space beside the door for the walkway- You could pull it out just to the door trim:)
