Now it's my turn because this recent renovation was my kitchen, my project, and my money. And again, he was worth every penny. For both projects, someone was here everyday working and both projects were completed on time. And what impressed me was how hands-on Mike was throughout the reconstruction of the kitchen and bathrooms. He didn't just tell the tile-guy to put in tile or the plumbing guy to put in sinks and showers, Mike was here before them, measuring, figuring out the best way to have the job done and PREVENTING problems. Then he came back when they were here to make sure the task was done correctly. He even made some of the guys come back for a re-touch when something wasn't perfect (which I hadn't even noticed). And the added bonus was that Mike has a really good eye for color and design so I didn't even need a decorator. I completely completely completely trust Mike. I met Mike two years prior to my wife and I purchasing land to build our dream house. After seeing his work and checking him out (I'm a private investigator), I knew Mike was the best person to hire. All during the planning, construction and finishing all of the millions of details, Mike was fair, honest, easy to work with, and understanding. He was creative and found ways to save us money. Over the years afterward, there were times when I needed to call Mike for some new issue or repair. He was always available and there for me with a referral or to come by and see how he could help. It is most rare to find someone to build your home and stay friends with them throughout the process and afterward. In 2011 my washing machine created a flood and my hardwood floors were ruined. I called Mike and he took over the process, got the floor people, , managed the job and dealt with the insurance company. The end result was fantastic and Mike did an amazing job. Mike Madrigal is wonderful. He is creative, capable, and has integrity and follow through. Working with him was always easy. Mike is fair cost wise as well. He might not be the least expensive up front, although there are higher priced contractors; but at the end, he will save you in many ways and always be within budget...so don't be penny wise.
