> An excellent experience all around!! Her professional demeanor, charisma and natural ability to visualize what a space can achieve coupled with a keen eye for detail made dealing with Brandelyn a delight! I eagerly anticipate this projects completion

> My Hisband and I had just bought a new home and we have always wanted a fireplace but it was the one thing that was missing from our new home. We figured "oh it'll be an easy DIY project for the weekend". Boy were we wrong. We couldn't agree on anything we also had no idea what we were doing. Many a trip to just about every hardware store in town, magazines and blogs for inspiration but we just couldn't seem to figure it out. This is when we found Brandelyn and my god I should basically thank her for not only doing an amazing job on our project but saving our marriage from disaster.
>
> She was so helpful in getting us both on the same page and giving us great guidance on what we should be doing. So no longer running blindly we had this angel give us some insight. Brandelyn was beyond pleasant to work with. I always avoided designers as I felt they would come across pushy and "know it all" like but that was not our experience with her at all. I couldn't be more then pleased with the end results and can't wait for the snow to melt so that she can help us with the. I'd put that is our backyard. I can't say enough good things and would recommend her to anyone who asked or didn't haha.

> Brandelyn came up with the perfect design concept for my newly acquired office space, The Manhattan Studio, after meeting me for only a brief period of time. She is the perfect designer for the busy professional that needs people who can just know what they want, and make it happen. The results exceeded my expectation in every way. From the color scheme to the furniture, everything was very me!.... She created a work environment that blended comfort with modern style. I would highly recommended Brandelyn to others if you are looking for a professional grade job. Thanks again for all of your hard work, Brandelyn!!

> I have worked with Brandelyn on numerous occasions as a General Contractor and she has always made my job very easy. Her knowledge of products and where to find them with her enthusiasm and organization made any project a pleasant experience with a positive outcome. I have utilized Brandelyn's design knowledge for both commercial and residential projects. I would recommend her services without hesitation.

> I was introduced to Brandelyn's work through a friend and saw the transformation of an older (late 1950s- early1960s) waterfront house into a stylish modern design. Respectful of the potential waterfront view and sunlight opportunities, she designed an interior that included more windows and natural lighting, materials and features complimentary to the views and the nature around this property. An approach that was "eco-friendly" was also top of mind for this renovation.
>
> I have a suburban condo that needs work on a new kitchen and 2 washrooms. I will be using contracting Brandelyn to help as I make upgrade decisions. Timeline is spring of 2014.

## Community Q&A

**Q: How can I fix this living room?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I need help decorating my living room. I just don't know what to put on the walls. I'd love to create a warm, family space. I'd love to include photos of my family (possibly a gallery wall), but don't want it to be too "busy". Also, I don't know what wall would be the best placement for a gallery. I'm ashamed to admit we've lived in this house for 6 years and this is all I've done. I appreciate any advice you have to share.

A: I would recommend that the 'family gallery' of pics be hosted on the wall to the right of the stair case. I would create a grouping and incorporate the photos you currently have going up the stairs and in the hallway into that gallery wall as well leaving the stairway wall bare and the upstairs hallway can feature a larger print. As mentioned above, I would also incorporate some symmetry around the fireplace and the furniture in an L-shape with the love seat where the sofa is and the sofa facing the fireplace.

**Q: Kitchen Flooring** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi there! I am in the process of building a home with mattamy and was wondering what the name of your kitchen tile is? We also chose graphite red oak hardwood and have white cabinets and your ceramic looks great!!

A: Hi Adriana! Thanks for stopping by and congrats on your new home purchase. :) The tiles that I selected for the foyer, powder room and kitchen are a level one finish in Montagne Dark Grey. Also with the Caledonia Granite counter top I wanted more of a sleek look, so I did not select a contrasting grout but rather one very close to the tile colour called pewter grey. Hope this helps.

**Q: What type of flooring is this?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: 'Wood' tile is an amazing option for kitchens and bathrooms. Get the wood look without the water worry. :)
