### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Paula Okonneh, Aug. 2019**

> Preparing to sell your house can be stressful. When my Realtor recommended Virginia Youngblood, Home Stager & Designer from Matthews, NC, to me, I was impressed. I knew when I met her that her company DO STAGE LLC was the best choice in order to get my property looking its best for the market. Virginia had a unique way to be able to work with my furniture/acessories - knowing just what to keep and style with. She also brought in some of her inventory that I rented from her. The results were outstanding! My house looked awesome and was now ready for MLS showings! Virginia has an excellent talent and eye for arranging furnishings and accessories and to make a design plan by relying on what I already had. Virginia is truly a professional business woman who has a warm and engaging demeanor. I highly recommend her company DO STAGE LLC to anyone needing a Home Stager, Organizer and Designer.

> Working with Virginia is such a pleasure! Over the years, I’ve worked with many staging companies and I consider Virginia Youngblood of DoStage to be an exceptional stager. She recently helped a client of mine that had accumulated too much furniture and also had very eclectic taste. Virginia was able to meet with my client, explain the difference between staging and decorating and ultimately helped her to transform the home into a beautiful, show-ready property for the market. The home got immediate attention in the marketplace and sold within 2 days because of Virginia’s guidance and hard work. I would recommend her to agents that are looking for a great stager that goes above and beyond to help homeowners get the job done.

**Comment from Dwell Style Interiors:**

> Natalie,
> It was a joy and pleasure to help consult with your client about my staging vision and goal for her property. It's always so encouraging when the Homeowners follow my recommendations from the thorough Staging Consultation. Thank you for your trust and confidence in my experience and skill as a Professional Stager. Congratulations on the sale of this property!! I appreciate your review for me. Thank you so much!

> I am a local Realtor ® and call on Virginia to help seller clients prepare their home for the market. She has a natural gift to transform a space with her color choices, furniture arranging, and addition (or subtraction) of decorative items.
>
> On my current listing, she suggested moving a few pieces that the homeowner already owned to a different room and made the room feel fresh and inviting. Also, the sellers had spray painted a "target" on their exterior brick for ball practice. Virginia was very warm and kind in he delivery to suggest that they clean it off.

**Comment from Dwell Style Interiors:**

> Thank you, Dawn, for your review. It's a pleasure working as part of your team to help Homeowners with their properties. You are an excellent Realtor. Your clients are fortunate to have you!

**★★★★★ — HU-339733780, Nov. 2018**

> Virginia is a true pro. She is a wiz at incorporating what you have in your home with her assortment of props. She has a sixth sense for knowing what will work well in your home and what will soir the interests of potential buyers. She did such a superb job staging my house that I reconsidered whether I wanted to move!

**Comment from Dwell Style Interiors:**

> Thank you, Client!! I really do appreciate the time you spent in writing this wonderful review for me.

> As a listing agent, I find Virginia to be engaging with my Seller. We were so thrilled with her transformation of his huge 5-bedroom home to get it ready for market. Her creative energy spelled warmth and charm throughout. She has caring professionalism that showed in her interaction with us. Virginia went over & beyond her call of duty to get this house ready for market, and when the opportunity arises, I must use her again ~ in a heartbeat!

**Comment from Dwell Style Interiors:**

> Thank you, Edie. It was such a pleasure helping this Seller and being a team member with you.

**★★★★★ — Danielle Benfield, May 2018**

> I am a real estate agent and have been looking for someone new to use for staging my listings when need be since my other stager moved. I had a home that has been listed for a while and it was a beautiful home but just was not selling. I suggested to my seller that we look into staging and contacted DoStage. After consulting my seller moved forward and Virginia worked with me to meet my needs for marketing the house. The end result was gorgeous and the home looked like a model home. The house sold within 2 and 1/2 weeks thanks to the Lord and DoStage! We were all blessed by this and I️ certainly look forward to future projects with her!

**Comment from Dwell Style Interiors:**

> I highly recommend Virginia & her company to anyone wanting to sell their home!

**★★★★★ — Linda Cook, Jan. 2018**

> I was very impressed by Virginia's skills in staging my house. Her ability to see the big picture as well as the little details was amazing. She was prompt, communicative and super organized and treated the job as if it were her house she was decorating. Her follow through was flawless.

**★★★★★ — Suzanne Hogge, Sept. 2017**

> Virginia is "AWESOME"!!! I can not thank her enough for all of her professional knowledge in staging our home. She totally transformed our home into a model showcase and we went to contract in 28 days!!! I believe a big part of this was due to Virginia's handiwork If you are considering selling your home you must contact her. You will not regret it. Thank you again Virginia!!!

> Virginia did a wonderful job staging our house! We got an offer within 3 days of it being on the market, and I am sure that this was in large part to the way Virginia was able to bring out our house's beauty.

**★★★★★ — Bonnie Harrell, Jan. 2017**

> Virginia staged my home to show its very best features, and my home looked amazing. Her professional, can- do approach made the process look easy. We received rave reviews on our home's appearance, and best of all, it sold within 12 days. I plan to call Virginia to stage my new home so it looks that amazing from the very beginning! I highly recommend Virginia to anyone trying to sell their home.

## Community Q&A

**Q: windows/doors** *(in Photo Questions)*

Are these accordion type glass doors or stationary floor to ceiling windows? If they are doors, what is the brand?

A: Windows/Doors, to answer your questions: "Are these accordion type glass doors or stationary floor to ceiling windows? If they are doors, what is the brand?":
The windows are stationary floor to ceiling windows. I do not know the glass doors brand. We are now rebranded as of 2020 to Interior Design. Our design firm is Dwell Style Interiors. We are no longer a staging company. This project was a staging project. Thank you for your questions. Have a nice day!

**Q: Dilemma: Recessed Medicine Cabinet On Wall Next to Vanity Mirror** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi guys! We’re in hime stretch of a whole home remodel/renovation. They’ve Demo’d our master bathroom already & contractor wants to replace my existing recessed (built in) white painted wood medicine cabinet with a Kohler mirror version. Problem is it’s located on the side wall right next to the vanity mirror wall. Dilemma is - the mirror door would either have to open toward the mirror or flip it over to open toward me as I stand at vanity. To me, the mirror is useless if I can’t pull it toward me (to where it faces me). But if it opens that way it blocks the access to items in cabinet.
They say the wood can’t just be repainted because it won’t match the finish on the prefab cabinets they’re installing. Should I just have the door removed and have naked shelves? Or just have a mirror that opens toward the vanity mirror?
(I’ll post before demo pics & after as well as the Kohler mirror front med cabinet they want to install.)

A: Stacey,
We’re having a similar issue!! As an Interior Designer, it’s important to me that the finished product looks good - along with being functional. What I’ve decided to do is create an open shelf area in the space where the old metal mirrored medicine cabinet was. Of course there is not much depth but some type of small decorative container (s) will be placed there to hold small things - or have space in the drawer for what the medicine cabinet held.
I like the idea of removing it completely and sheet rock the area and paint the same color as wall. Then you could hang a piece of art on the wall! Houzz and Pinterest would have some inspirational photos and ideas to get a vision for this area.
Hope this all works out for you so you will have a “YES, this is IT!” experience!

**Q: Need help with throw pillows** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I bought a grey leather contemporary sectional. It's a dark steel grey. Then I screwed up and bought an upholstered light grey ottoman.. I have a teal chair to anchor the sectional and I just bought a teal tray for the ottoman. The picture makes the chair look dark blue but it's a microfiber teal. I just purchased an area rug of course it has no teal but lightens up the area and pulls in the light color of ottoman with the dark sectional. Now what do I do about throw pillows? Thanks

A: Look for a beautiful colored glass bowl or large vase shape with the colors reddish orange, etc. They can be pricy, but you may find one at TJ Maxx, etc.

**Q: help with office color** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi,
Im in the process of picking out a color for my upcoming home office. the livingroom is stone lion and so will the entry way off from the living room be the same color. My office will be visible from the living room so I wanted a nice color that flows. .was thinking of a soft blue or blue gray, but not the blues with green in them. ..HELP, there are way too many!! I will have an accent wall that I am considering to paint kendell charcoal BM ,which has a tall ceiling and has a window on it. The room gets descent natural lighting. .I considered Smoke by BM but the sample just looked soooo pale. ...I put a sample of Puritan Gray BM up as well and got spooked..lol..I'm a coward when it comes to color. ..the pink room is what I'm looking at painting. .ignore my color samples. ..I have posted
a pict of my living room color and the door off from the living room is going to be my office. ..

thanks. ..

A: Your home is gorgeous and the wood trim around doors, and crown molding are awesome detailed touches! Because I'm a firm believer in accessories being the "pop" of color in any room, I'd say to keep with the flow of the same color, stone lion, that's in the hall and living room areas, as a great choice! Then get a "WOW" picture on a focal point wall, a "WOW" occasional chair in a corner and a contemporary, sleek desk with desk chair. Let the room furniture be your focal point and what draws your eye into the office. The walls are just a background. This is coming from a stager's point of view -- make the room look crisp, classic and clean and you've got a winner!

**Q: I need help deciding whether to refinish my bedroom set** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I am redecorating our master bedroom. Our new comforter is shown in the photo. We will have a white fabric headboard, oak floors in a medium stain, white wood blinds with drapes of some sort. We don't have new night tables yet.
The bedroom furniture is well made but dated looking. Should we have it sprayed grey? Use it so somewhere else and get new furniture? Put a marble top on the dresser?
Thanks for your help!

A: 🤦🏻‍♀️ Ha!!! Beverly, I didn’t even notice the date! Ha! Obviously, I haven’t been active on here in a while as far as responding and commenting!!! 😂

**Q: POLL: Modern or Traditional Backyard?** *(in Polls)*

Which of these backyards calls out to you? Would you rather have the modern space or the traditional space?

VOTE and tell us about it!

A: Traditional! There’s a ‘warmth’ and a ‘serene steadiness’ about the traditional photo!
The more modern photo would be appropriate in a very ‘modern city’ - say in a southern city in California!!
