> We hired Johker Design to bring our office from the crowded, semi-functional state that it had evolved into over 20 years.  The office is approximately 600 square feet and was bisected by credenzas that held all of the technology - printers, scanners, servers, etc.

> Kerry Hoffman and Johannes Hoffman worked with us on some creative alternatives. Then Kerry worked with our contractor to remove a small wall separating two adjacent closets and add electric outlets in the closets. Now the credenzas are in the joined closet and all of the technology (other than our laptops / large LCD Displays) are in the closet and the doors remain closed most of the time.

> Then they recommended we replace our separate (2 of us work in the office) dark wood desks and book case / hutches with a light colored 5 foot by 5 foot desk with a cable tray in the center - from IKEA. We sit on opposite sides of the desk and it woks well. This, coupled with moving a nice glass shelf system into the office from a hallway, dramatically opened up and lightened the tone of the office. Kerry complimented the new, lighter colors of the desk with a new rug for the desk side of the room (keeping the 1920s Oriental rug from my mother's house in the other side) and slip covers for the comfortable chairs and replaced the 30 year old couch with a cool, modern one.

By removing the walls and shortening the pool by 25’ and adding glass railings we created a very spacious entertaining space and added a large cantilivered ipe deck. Now it’s a very special spot to relax and enjoy the endless water views.

I'm looking for some like that but slightly darker.

A: I did not spec the tile, but try Porcelanosa they have some very similar tiles in many colors

A: Compass Tile in Annapolis, MD supplied the tiles.  I do not know the manufacturer.  I do know that Porcelanosa makes one very similar.

**Q: Where is the stove top located? And what type of ventilation?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love the look of this contemporary kitchen! I don't see a stove top--wondering if it's on back wall and range hood is disguised as an upper cabinet? Or is there a downdraft vent somewhere?

A: Contact The Artists Republic in Annapolis. They did the wall for me.  It’s a plaster.
