It was a gamble that really paid off. I had two fireplaces that needed to be finished with mantels, marble, brick resurfacing, shiplap, and fireplace shelving/painting. I had ideas initially but could not visualize the final makeover. This is where Lois excels. She worked with my preferences in colors and style to help steer me into a final product that far exceeded my expectations. Finally I have the focal points for my living room and dining room finished - complete with a brand new dining room chandelier - also selected by Lois. Her team of contractors were the most pleasant, considerate people I have ever worked with in my home - especially during the time of this pandemic and the need to continue to work on home projects. Her contractors deliver only the utmost professional work and the end product is evident not only in their workmanship but their competence and flexibility in delivering what I needed for my home. I very rarely write reviews. I promise you will not be disappointed with Decorating Den Interiors. **Comment from Decorating Den Interiors - Lois Pade:** > Thank you for the review Kris! I loved being able to be part of the transformation of these two fireplaces. You were amazing to work with. I am so happy that you are as pleased as I was with the results. I had to post the before pictures below so that we remember what we started with! **★★★★★ — Helen Schumacher, Aug. 2019** > I recently had window treatments for seven (7) windows installed by Lois/Decorating Den and I am extremely satisfied with Lois' decorating skills, the ordering and installation of the shades, and, of course, the product itself (Hunter Douglas). It has given my rooms a finished look and wonderfully soft lighting effect. I intend to use their services for other projects down the road. **Comment from Decorating Den Interiors - Lois Pade:** > Thank you so much for your review Helen! It was such a pleasure working with you. The new shades really look great and the power option will make them so effortless to operate. Looking forward to working with you again in the future! **★★★★★ — Laurie Pearsall, Aug. 2018** > Working with Lois and her team was a wonderful experience. > Her design knowledge and creative solutions were the keys to a successful project for us. > We hired her to design and install window treatments for two rooms and they turned out beautifully. Not only exceeded our expectations visually, but we were impressed with the quality of the workmanship. > If you're looking for help with ideas for your windows and want to work with a true professional - call Lois! **Comment from Decorating Den Interiors - Lois Pade:** > Thank you so much Laurie! I really enjoyed helping you with the window treatments. It is hard to imagine the difference the right window treatments can make in a room until you experience it. I am so happy that you all were so pleased! **★★★★★ — Ronnie Ashton, Nov. 2017** > I was extremely happy and excited with the results of hiring Lois Pade and Decorating Den to do my home improvement projects. I have hired her for 4 different projects and everyone of them turned out beautiful. Lois is a gifted decorator and artist and I would highly recommend her for any home improvement or decorating project you may be thinking about doing. **★★★★★ — Sandy Honey, Nov. 2017** > We love our new living room! I absolutely love being in that room. Lois did an excellent job on everything & the time frame was amazing. Lois is very professional & does this so well. She listens & is easy to talk to. She never pressured us to purchase anything. The paint is exactly what I wanted & the paint job was perfectly done. The furniture she chose looks so beautiful & the carpet accents it very well. Because of Lois we now have our dream room!! **Comment from Decorating Den Interiors - Lois Pade:** > Thank you so much for your kind words Sandy! You were such a pleasure to work with. I am so happy that you love your room. I loved doing it for you! **★★★★★ — Bernardine (Bernie) Hoff, May 2017** > Decorating Den- Lois Pade and associates has done 2 remodeling projects for me (Kitchen and main Bath). She and her team are highly competent. The projects were well thought out, considered my opinions. Different aspects of the project were completed on time and within budget. All of my concerns were met, her crew went above and beyond what was necessary for my satisfaction. > Lois is very talented and adept in pulling together a "look" for the rooms needing updating. I would enjoy working with the Decorating Den team in the future. **Comment from Decorating Den Interiors - Lois Pade:** > Thank you so much for your review Bernie! You are always a pleasure to work with. We really enjoyed transforming your bathroom into your oasis! **★★★★★ — Anita and Ken Welch, Dec. 2016** > We knew that we wanted to remodel our kitchen to have a tropical, Latin American influence, but we had no idea how to get started. Lois took our ideas and came back with many choices from which we chose. The kitchen was gutted and we started over. Now we have a kitchen that we absolutely love! Lois and Kari, her assistant, are great to work with. When the construction started, we had a steady flow of progress that followed the work schedule. If something wasn't working out, modifications were made as needed. We highly recommend Lois to anyone who is considering having some remodeling done. I should add that we normally do our own painting, electrical, etc., so we do know the amount of work that is required to bring such a project to fruition. **Comment from Decorating Den Interiors - Lois Pade:** > Thank you so much for your review Anita! It was so much fun working on your project. I don't often get to work on such a colorful fun space and I really enjoyed this. I loved being able to use the bright tropical colors to pull everything together. This kitchen really reflects your interests and travels, which was our goal. I especially love the mural that we did above your range. So happy that you love it! **★★★★★ — Jean Tsokatos, Dec. 2016** > Lois is the ultimate professional. First and foremost, she listened to me. I had an extensive list of likes and don't likes. Lois kept that top of mind and did not waste my time showing me items or designs that would not interest me. Where I needed ideas, she supplied them. When I was clueless about what to do, she supplied 2-3 options that allowed me to think and consider what might be. Her knowledge of design styles, colors, furniture configurations, space utilization is top notch. In addition, the partners she works with were all very professional. Electricians, painters, carpet and window treatment installers as well as movers were all on time, neat and mindful of my aversion to dust and messes. The quality of the furnishings is superior. I could not be happier with the end result. I love my home. Lois took what was for me looking to be an insurmountable few months of no fun decorating upheaval and turned it into a positive experience. I highly recommend Lois to anyone looking to make interior home improvements. **Comment from Decorating Den Interiors - Lois Pade:** > Thank you so much for you wonderful review Jean. I loved working with you and helping you to create your beautiful new space! All of the input that you gave me in the beginning really helped me to hone in on your style and put together a look that reflects you and your personality. Your home looks fabulous and I hope that you enjoy it for many years! **★★★★★ — Michelle Trottier, Nov. 2016** > Lois and her team provided the best possible experience for my husband and I. They are absolute professionals in every aspect of their work. Every detail was handled and scheduled meticulously and always on budget. We have had 2 rooms remodeled in the last year and are moving forward with another one soon. The best part is that the final product is always beautiful and easy to live in. We love working with Lois and her team! **Comment from Decorating Den Interiors - Lois Pade:** > We love working with you too Michelle! Can't wait to show you the photos of your finished family room. I will be adding them to My Projects on my houzz website soon. Thank you again for the opportunity to make your family room so beautiful and comfortable. I know that your family will enjoy that room for years to come. **★★★★★ — mikolas, April 2016** > Lois has helped us with decorating two of our homes and we have been very pleased. She helped us with layout, furniture, paint colors and draperies. **Comment from Decorating Den Interiors - Lois Pade:** > Thank you for the review. It has been awhile since we did a project together. Nice to hear from you! **★★★★★ — mshef12346, Dec. 2015** > Our fireplace was in need of an upgrade. Although we have a small home, the focal point of the open space floor plan was fading away in appearance. The budget was tight but Lois walked us through what we were able to do without breaking it. The planning and executing went off without a hitch and we are very happy with the outcome. I would highly recommend Lois and her team even for the smaller projects like ours. **Comment from Decorating Den Interiors - Lois Pade:** > Thank you so much Melanie for the review! It was such a pleasure working with you on the fireplace project. It really turned out beautiful and makes such a difference in the room. It is amazing how making one change can totally change the feeling of the room. **★★★★★ — jwam73, Nov. 2015** > Lois and her team are the best! They always return calls and emails right away. They stay on schedule and keep dates as promised. > > Jeff and I have been using Lois for many years. She has helped us with a bathroom, a foyer, a bedroom, our great room, our office some repairs and some very special custom window treatments in our kitchen. > > Lois is always friendly and respectful of our budget. When Lois created a "big girl" bedroom for our eleven-year old daughter, she let Taylor be active in every step of the process. She listened to Taylor and respected Taylor's opinions. Taylor really enjoyed working with Ms. Lois too! We have nothing but good things to say about Lois and her team. They always come through for us and everyone is always impressed with our beautiful our home looks! **Comment from Decorating Den Interiors - Lois Pade:** > Thank you for your review Janel! It is always so much fun to work with you and Jeff, but decorating Taylor's room was extra special. Thanks for opening your home to my team and the photographers. I am so excited to add her room to my portfolio! ## Selected projects - [Kenosha Transitional Home Office](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/kenosha-transitional-home-office-pj-vj~5935888) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - [Kenosha Neutral Dining Room](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/kenosha-neutral-dining-room-pj-vj~5936445) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 3 - [Modern Dining Room](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/modern-dining-room-pj-vj~1449652) - Location: Kenosha, WI - Photos: 4 - Description: This modern dining room features charcoal colored wallcovering and painted walls framed by glossy black moldings.
