**★★★★★ — Carole S, Dec. 2017**

> I had the pleasure of working with Carter Williams at LDa earlier this year on a kitchen/living room renovation. Carter was great to work with and I love my kitchen and living room. I heartily recommend her, and through her, LDa. Carter gave me great advice on both design issues and on the advantages and disadvantages of more and less expensive options, let me decide how much or how little involvement I wanted her to have in design & material decisions, and was very responsive whenever I needed her advice or opinion. She also was polite but firm with the contractor when issues arose and helped to keep me calm. I have a beautiful new downstairs that I love and that receives rave reviews from visitors.

**★★★★★ — Steven Segarra, July 2017**

> Dean Sawyer from LDa did a fantastic job with our home, an Arts and Crafts classic which needed significant renovation. Dean was able to introduce fresh and contemporary elements that still harmonized with the character of the home. He was always available for fresh ideas during the design, for advice during construction, and for a balanced perspective that did the most with our budget. Throughout the process, Dean was able to draw on any expertise from the firm he needed. I'd recommend LDa without hesitation.

**★★★★★ — Boston Design Guide, Dec. 2014**

> We have had the pleasure of working with LDa Architecture & Interiors for many years. Their beautiful homes and interiors have graced the pages of Boston Design Guide, New England's first and longest-standing publication dedicated to the home, for over a decade.
>
> What we love about LDa is their ability to adapt classic New England architecture to the conveniences of modern living. Each project is a wonderful collaboration between architect/interior designer and the client, and this ensures a standard of quality and efficiency but also uniqueness and a client's personal touch.
>
> We highly recommend LDa Architecture & Interiors for any home renovation, addition, building, design, or decor project you may be planning.

**★★★★★ — Debra, Oct. 2014**

> LDa did a fantastic job on our renovation. The kept the project on track and on budget. We worked with both the architects and the interiors group. They were incredibly professional, they have an amazing esthetic, they came up with creative solutions without blowing the bank and they were very responsive to each and every issue we raised. I really can't wait to do another project with LDa.

**★★★★★ — Sarah, July 2014**

> looking for a contractor for our new home, and looking at the previous review which impressed me. Might call and get a quote for our new project

**★★★★★ — Karp Liberman Kern Sotheby's International Realty, June 2014**

> As a Realtor here in Newton, MA. i have come across some amazing talented architects and some so so at best. I would highly recommend LDa for your next project requiring the services of an architect. Their designs are fresh, stylish, extremely well thought out and most of all they have happy clients.

**★★★★★ — dlq4874, April 2014**

> Working with LDA was a pleasure from beginning to end. Each individual that helped with our project was creative, insightful, innovative, and fun to work with. They are detail oriented, punctual and see you through until the end of your project. I felt that they took time to know me, my family, and my likes and dislikes in design and architecture. A great experience all around and highly recommend them.

**★★★★★ — User, March 2014**

> Incredibly talented staff; they listen well, are creative and collaborative. Understands that clients are always balancing costs of a project with the time for completion and desire for high quality execution. They help guide a client on key decisions and provide great insight into what matters (and what doesn't!).

**★★★★★ — Wellen Construction, March 2014**

> Wellen Construction has had the pleasure of working with LDA on several significant projects. Treff and his team (Matt Simitis and Carter Williams) are great to work with. On a technical level their drawings and construction communication are excellent – their organization and thoroughness give their jobs a great platform for a Builder to work from making jobs go faster and more efficiently. From a design stand point they always exceeded expectations. LDA is clearly one of the premier High End Residential Architects in the Boston Metro and Cape Cod markets.

> My wife and I have worked with LDa Architecture & Interiors on a total gut renovation of a colonial on both the architectural and interior design sides of their business. We worked with Doug Dick and Andy Hinterman on the architectural design as well as Jayme Kennerknecht and Jessica Mason on interiors. My wife and I could not have asked for a more rewarding experience. This was our first time through this process and they strike a great balance of listening to what we wanted and also offering suggestions and guidance based on their experience. They also did a tremendous job of managing the overall project from getting bids from contractors to facilitating our move and transition into the house. They made the undertaking easy for us in terms of meetings, reviewing samples and drawings, etc. which was very helpful to us since my wife and I both work and we have two little kids. Everyone on their team was extremely hard working, professional, diligent, creative, collaborative, thoughtful, and innovative. I always felt that they genuinely cared about making us happy with the overall project and their ultimate goal was for us to love our new home. We do indeed love our home and we are extremely grateful for all of their hard work. I guess the biggest compliment I could give is that we would definitely use them again if we decide to buy a second home.

**★★★★★ — Back Bay Shutter Co., Inc., Jan. 2013**

> We have been lucky enough to work with Kyle Sheffield and Company. They are an amazing firm that brings years of collective experience and fresh ideas to all of their projects.

  - Description: Finding a quiet condo with Hudson River views in Manhattan was no easy task. Our clients immediately recognized the unique charm and special location of this 15th floor unit, and were up for the challenge of giving it the renovation it desperately needed. Selective changes were made to the layout to enlarge and open up the kitchen, create a more defined entry and dining nook, and carve a comfortable guest space out of a former cramped maid’s quarters. The new kitchen is as spacious as any detach…

  - Description: Our clients approached us with a entirely new challenge for LDa – to design a new home utilizing the principles and geometry of Vastu Shastra, a traditional Hindu system of architecture – while also incorporating elements of traditional New England architecture and modern design. Vastu Shastra is centuries old and complex in its interpretations and implementations, but the basic themes are core elements of central space, peripheral zones, direction with respect to sunlight, and relative function…
- [Lighthouse Bay](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/lighthouse-bay-pj-vj~5903257)
  - Location: Orleans, MA
  - Photos: 18
  - Description: Set right on the ocean on the coast of Cape Cod, our clients fell in love with their new vacation home almost immediately, but knew that the structure itself needed more work. Having previously worked with us before, LDa jumped right in to help them renovate and refresh the interior structure of their home, while making a few exterior changes as well. Wanting to reflect the lifestyle of the family, we helped reconfigure the overall floor plan to provide an open concept that would promote gatheri…

- [Coolidge Hill](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/coolidge-hill-pj-vj~2887139)
  - Location: Cambridge, MA
  - Photos: 21
  - Description: Finding a home to call their own in the quiet Cambridge neighborhood that the wife grew up in, and that was also close to family was a stroke of luck for our clients. Starting a family meant they needed more space for practical needs, but they also wanted to create a warm and welcoming home for their children to grow up in. While the right size, the new house had previously been used as a two-family and needed significant work to convert the house back to a single family and add some much needed…

  - Description: After helping our clients with a renovation and addition to their primary residence, LDa was brought in to design a second home for the family out on the Cape. Situated on a stunning piece of property overlooking the Black Bank Channel and Cape Cod Bay, the home was designed to embrace the water views at the rear, and blend into the neighborhood’s more traditional housing stock on the street facing side. Bedrooms are located on the second floor, with the master suite overlooking the back yard an…

The living spaces are contained in three gabled pavilions that cascade down the slope of the land toward the lake, reinforcing the natural topography of the site. The arrival elevation of the home nestles into the forested hillside, while sunset and water views are b…
- [Miami Beach Highrise](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/miami-beach-highrise-pj-vj~2475627)
  - Location: Miami Beach, FL
  - Photos: 11
  - Description: Inspired by the lively and vibrant nature of the city around them, our clients commissioned LDa to update their vacation retreat to feel a little more like home, while also capturing the energy of the beach-side location. The key design goal was to blend New England and Miami Beach; infusing color and texture in unexpected places. Our clients wanted the condo to reflect their transitional taste and laid-back nature, so eclectic yet practical pieces were crucial to keep the space feeling casual.…
- [Sweet Oaks Farm](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/sweet-oaks-farm-pj-vj~5902130)
  - Location: Sudbury, MA
  - Photos: 19
  - Description: A competitive equestrian based primarily in south Florida, our client engaged LDa to create a Northern homestead on family-owned land to which the family and horses return for a few months each year to escape the heat and enjoy the charms of summer in New England. LDa envisioned a classic Shingle-style family farmhouse, updated with modern touches and amenities for a highly relaxing, low-maintenance lifestyle, with views from every room out to the pastures, woods and barn on the property. - Description: Our clients came to us hoping to create a place for their family to gather for games, movie nights, homework, and causal meals - something not easy to do in the smaller rooms of their traditional Italian Renaissance Revival home. The existing kitchen was also inadequate for their needs and was tied to a much too small mudroom and breakfast area. As an addition and expansion to the rear of the home, the new kitchen and family room has a contemporary sense of space and finishes. The kitchen and mu…

  - Location: Weston, MA
  - Photos: 21
  - Description: LDa is often asked by prospective clients to evaluate a site for design potential before making an offer to purchase. We first met the client for this project in the Town of Weston to help them envision the potential of a challenging site that included densely wooded slopes, wetlands and a massive exposed rock ledge. The initial idea was to build a traditional New England home with a contemporary interior that would fit into the neighborhood, be comfortable to live in and attractive for resale.…

  - Location: Newton, MA

  - Description: Architect-designed in the 1920s as a family cottage, this storybook home perches high atop a rock outcropping, creating a private respite from the busy Boston suburb of Newton. A delightfully unusual mix of materials and period details, any changes to the home would have to respect its historic charm. Looking to expand and refresh a dated kitchen, re-think the rear entry sequence and connections to the family room, and also expand a second floor bedroom, our clients wanted a contemporary interve…
