## Community Q&A

**Q: Opinion Please** *(in Other)*

Hi guys,
so far this is how my tv stand looks like I really tried my best but I still feel like it’s missing something. What do you think? What should I change or not change?

A: Try an all basket theme..remove all the bits and pieces..use thin trya baskets, bowls baskets

**Q: What to do with old closet in master bedroom** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are in the early stages of adding on a master bathroom and closet and I was curious if anyone had any ideas on what to do with the existing double door closet (outlined in red). It sits between a small linen closet and a double door closet for the adjacent bedroom. I'd love to add more usable space to the master bedroom but I feel like opening up that closet would look awkward. Plus we have hardwood floors that we would prefer not to do anything to. If push comes to shove we'll just close it up, but I'd love to maximize every bit of space we have since it's a fairly small bedroom. Any ideas?

A: I would close it from the hall and open in the bedroom and options
1\) create a coffee nook with cabs below for extra storage, bottles of water for coffee tea..maybe a small fridge.
2\) create a reading nook with built in bench
3\) built in make up area
4\) closet for hats, bags, belts and shoes

**Q: Replacing under cabinet open shelving with cabinets** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We just bought our first house, so let the fun begin! Previous owners put in open shelving in the kitchen and I want to replace it with cabinets or drawer units that match the rest of the kitchen. The current shelf looks too messy and doesn't support the countertop properly. Does anyone recognize where these cabinets are from? Does anyone know if we would be able to uninstall the open shelf and slide in new cabinets or would be need to take the countertcountertop off?

A: Depending on the layout you may be able to get away with a completely diff cabinet set up..if you do make sure its different like a really dark color, maybe stainless cabs , keep the profile clean and just change the color

**Q: Which paint brand is the best for interior walls? Am looking** *(in Paint)*

for paint that has a great pigment and covers walls best with a good painting technique. I am in California so any oil paint is not possible.

I have tried Benjamin Moore Regal and Natura, Behr, Kelly-Moore and Valspar. Not happy with any of these.

Is Farrow and Ball a good brand? I don't mind paying more for a great interior paint.

A: Pratt and lambert, farrow and high end Ben Moore is good

**Q: Appliance to match this gorgeous oven - help!** *(in Home Decorating)*

I want the oven pictured below. My oven has to go next to a counter depth fridge. They need to match! I could get chrome knobs and get SS Appliances. I love the bronze though. I want classic, functional fridge and dishwasher that aren’t too expensive. I don’t like the water dispenser on the outisde of the fridge. Any thoughts!? I’m going to use the tile Pictured on the kitchen floor... white cabinets and blue island With white countertops.... just so you get an idea the last pic is my inspiration

A: Consider panel covered fridge and dw to match the cabs

**Q: Bathroom tile help! Are my choices too much?** *(in Flooring)*

I'm redoing a small full bath. I've selected honed marble and will do a 4 foot subway tile wall around the bathroom. I'm considering doing a marble mosaic flooring that might be a bit much to use wall to wall. on the other hand, since it is monochromatic it might be just the right element to boost the design. All thoughts are appreciated. I'm also including a pic of my sink console.
The plastic is on these causing the sheen.

This is the wall tile laid out in the showroom I would use a brick pattern.

A: If youre concerned Consider using the mosaic in center on floor like a runner
