Had health issues and never finished it. We had Anne landscape our front and back areas of our home. We have a pool and wanted to plant trees in areas that would give us more privacy. Anne put in "Rose of Sharon" which not only gave us privacy but they blossom throughout the whole summer giving us beauty and colors around the pool! Loved that idea! Since I know nothing about gardening I left it all to her imagination. I do love lots of colors and flowers with low maintenance so she put in an array of plants that bloom throughout the 3 seasons. She also does all of our flower boxes on our decks as well as maintenance! Really love it as I have no time to tend to the garden. My very favorite is my clamadis (sp?) around my light post. Every spring I look forward to seeing it. She's great to work with and has great ideas! Highly recommend her! A bit of advice. Don't expect to see much in the first couple of years especially with certain bushes and trees because it takes awhile for them to fill in. At first I thought the front looked a little sparse but Anne told me to hang in there that this would change. Sure enough everything got fuller and fragrant. I love the textures and colors of green. very beautiful A: Greetings from Chicago, The tree in the stone raised planter is Fagus sylvatica ‘Roseo-Marginata’ Tri Color Beech. I love this tree too! It grows slowly, doesn’t produce any messy fruits, and maintains its color all season long. I even love it’s form, bark color and leaf buds in the Winter. Is this s a Japanese Snowbell? also, how long would it take for this "slow grower" to get this height if the starting point is about 7 ft ? .. Thank you!! I love your work A: Hi Katrina, The Japanese Snow Bell is a slow grower but well worth the wait. In an urban setting a 7’ tree will grow to 20 feet in 12-16 years if they are planted correctly and in the right place. Thank you for the question.
