**Q: Countertop options for long island** *(in Remodeling)*

Working through layout options for a kitchen remodel and due to the side of our space a 12 - 13 foot island would be ideal.  If we wanted a continuous surface with no seam, are there any new materials out there to pull that off (except wood or laminate)?  Thus far the max I can find is about 10.5 feet.

A: Corian Solid Surface - can be made as long and big as wanted with so visual seams.

**Q: what is the stone on the counters?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Top of Island almost looks like there are tile joint lines.  Not knowledge with tile tops (other then it's not an idea countertop material), but a great option could be Quartz - here's a similar color:

**Q: Granite seams** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Acceptable granite seam or can they do better?

A: I would consider this acceptable for granite.  We never put seams though the sink, it's prone to have future issues.  You mentioned your flooring guy might be able to help touch up the look of seam, you could see if he can help you, just make sure he tries a small spot before doing the whole stretch.

**Q: Name of Quartz?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What Quartz in on perimeter counters?

A: If it is Quartz it looks similar to Hanstone, Alexandria or Zodiaq, Sandbar.  Otherwise I would suggest using Zodiaq, Coarse Pepper.  Good Luck!

**Q: What is the material and color of these countertops?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Tops are quartz, but not sure what brand/color.  Some close color options would be Hanstone, Alexandria or Zodiaq, Sage.

**Q: Kitchen sink** *(in Photo Questions)*

What kind of kitchen sink is this? I need a brand or name to be able to tell my builder.

A: hard to tell, but looks kinda like a cheeper/Swanstone style Sink.  I would suggest getting a quality sink if your doing high end quality Countertops.  A great sink option would be a Blanco , White, undermount, 60/40 style.  Make sure it's the Blanco brand, box stores sell similar sinks, but much lower quality.
