**Q: Beautiful, restful room** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi. This room is beautiful. Very restful and conducive to relaxation.  Would you let me know sourcing on the chairs?  I like the contrasting seat and complimentary pillow.  Also the piece at the foot of the bed is so different and luxurious in appearance.  May I know from whence that came?

A: The color was selected by the designer.

**Q: what kind of roller blinds did you use?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I like the sheer (fabric preferred) roller blinds.

A: Looks like a solar fabric with a metal fascia.  The openness of the solar fabric gives it a sheer look.  These high performing fabrics are great for controlling heat gain and reducing fading.

**Q: Need help decorating living/dining combo room** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My husband and I are having a difficult time deciding on how to decorate our living room/dining room.  We have been living here for 2 years and the house still feels like we just moved in.  We are looking for ideas on Wall decor as well as additional accessories/decor.  We also want to replace the chairs on the dining room.  What do you think wicker or beige tufted chairs?  Any ideas you can contribute will be greatly appreciated! :)  Am I asking for too much? :)   Thanks!

A: I'd start by finding a runner for the front door and an area rug for the living room.  I'd also have a professional help you design drapes to define your dining room area.  You could bring in the colors from the new rugs.  You have really high ceilings so you need to get the drapery length just right.  A window treatment professional can calculate the right length and rod placement for you.  Good luck, such a great space to work with.

**Q: THREE front doors!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

This is my living room/dining room combo. There are three front doors....all functional.  Outside the doors is the front porch.  The middle door will be the designated entryway. Problem is, there is no entryway. Looking for advice as to how to arrange/decorate living room and create an entryway. My couch is a few feet from the front door!

Also, wondering what to cover the windows with? I'm leaning towards custom shutters on the outer doors and leaving the middle bare.

A: Hello -  Great feedback so far.  I think you're right on with your shutter idea.  I would do a custom color match with 2 full panels on each door that fold back onto the walls.  Leave the transoms open.  This will help highlight your middle door as the entrance from both the exterior and interior of the house.  I would also bring some color into the room by putting roman shades in the little windows next to your fireplace.  I'd love to see an after picture.

**Q: Great job!  Whose rod system?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I really admire your work here.  This must have been not only an exceptionally tricky installation, but even the planning had to be painstaking to get the length and width of the drapes correct.  Zero margin for error here.  Who makes this rod system?

A: Thank you, this was a great project.  The homeowner wanted to frame the great view, but needed privacy at night.  The rod is from Forest Group and we cut it down on-site so the rod would work with the angled ceiling.  Goal was to have the drapes off the window as much as possible when open while providing a casually full look.
