My initial experience was so positive. She listened, helped me define my style, paid attention to any budget constraints I had and designed a beautiful interior for our new home. When we moved to another property we did the same thing. She left our project just as the kitchen cabinets got installed (April 2018), but she made sure her fee was paid before she departed. > Lesson learned: NEVER pay any contractor the full amount before the job is done. Our project turned into a complete disaster! Her measurements were off to such a degree that our ovens did not fit (oven cabinet she ordered too small), the cooktop did not fit (cooktop cabinet she ordered too small), Refrigerator did not fit (she failed to monitor the installer and the space he made turned out too small. Furthermore, we had to order two new cabinets with different sizes because her measurements were incorrect. > Unbelievable project delays were encountered as it took us 4 complete rounds of ordering cabinet parts to correct mistakes her chosen cabinet supplier (Mid Continent) made. We are still today waiting for cabinet replacement parts. > Our installation costs have spiraled out of control as each turn with new cabinet parts requires us to call back the installer. > This person is not up to speed with current design tools and handicaps her clients by providing only 2D drawings that don't enable you to visualize what you're about to pay for. > Mostly absent from the job site and full of excuses when she does not deliver what you expected. All new hickory cabinets were installed, oak hardwood flooring, granite counter tops, rock back splash, new range, stainless steel sink, wainscoting in the bath which was personally designed and installed by Hoppy, a tree branch that went from floor to vaulted ceiling, led lighting in the ceiling as well as the glass front cabinets, lighting under the cabinets and a chandelier. The entire project took about 10 weeks and I was able to live in the house the entire time. The construction was always cleaned up at the end of each work day. Over all, the project had a fabulous outcome and is certainly a top designer result. I don't feel I could have had a better outcome from any other contractor. Hope this information is helpful. Best, Cathie Correy **Q: what style, wood and stain color are the cabinets?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: These Cabinets are from Mid Continent Cabinetry. We are a dealer. They are Rustic Alder and they call this finish "Harvest". **Q: size of drawer** *(in Photo Questions)* Could you tell me a size of drawer, Please? A: These are "Pullouts" you need at least 4" of space. Most cabinet companies carry them. The pullout shelf units are from Rev-a Shelf then we put the door front and steel legs on the front. **Q: Drawer handles for house, polished or brushed- or chrome- stuck** *(in Design Dilemma)* I have plowed through many decisions on this home with ease, the Heritage Bertazonni 6 burner stove in a butter color, the subzero frig with glass door and the mix of seeded glass lights and nautical relaxed look to lighting- but the the drawer pulls are a hard choice. Have lots oil rubbed bronze and rope in lighting so it is a very relaxed look. My kitchen faucet is a Rohl Country with white porcelain - all faucets in house are chrome, bathrooms Toto, picture above. I have narrowed to these three styles and wonder should I use a few cup pulls also. Backsplash is gray blue glass - long rectangles. Any advise would help as I am stuck! Chrome is making a strong come back. **Q: Can this light be installed upside down (so the lights point down)?** *(in Product Questions)* I'm looking for something to hang above a window over a kitchen sink and the electrical box is placed on the wall above the window (like you might see above a mirror in a bathroom). A: Yes! As a Designer I often install vanity lights upside down. It can avoid looking up to bright bulbs. You just have to check you clearance to ceiling. u **Q: How big are the washer dryer units?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: We make the cabinet to fit the unit our client selects.
