> Working with John was a pleasure. He kept us informed during the entire process of creating our natural edge walnut bed and matching walnut nightstands. John has amazing craftsmanship and an eye for design that helped create the bed and tables of our dreams. We would not hesitate to work with him again

> LoneStar Artisans designed with 3D renderings, built and installed a combination large screen tv stand, book shelf, and cabinetry with a foot print of 130 inches long and over 96 inches tall for our living room. We are extremely impressed with the first class professionalism, attention to every detail on the project. It made for a rewarding process and we love the finished product. Fantastic craftsmanship, great service, and highly recommended!

> I needed to purchase an edge grain cutting board for my kitchen. I looked at different sources and began a short correspondence with John at LoneStar. I was so impressed with the quality and service I ended up buying two. Can't recommend them stronger - absolutely 5 stars, not a lone star.

> I had the pleasure of ordering a really stunning cutting board from this seller. Service was prompt, and the cutting board was even more beautiful than I had thought it would be. The item was packaged thoughtfully and my item arrived without issue. I was so pleased that I ordered 3 more as gifts, and they were all shipped promptly to my relatives. Everyone raves about them. I now go back to the website and drool over the desks and cabinets--I have a secret plan to commission something from them . Anyway, highest craftsmanship, good communication, and good service make this a really great company. Check them out.

> Lone Star Artisans has done a couple of things for us; most recently, a console table using a raw cut piece of mesquite mounted on a blackened steel base - beautiful. The work is classic, clean, uncluttered and honoring the natural beauty of the wood itself.

> I found Lone Star Artisans online, and once I had the chance to meet John I knew this was the right place for my cutting board project. John is a kind, patient, good man who cares about his work. I wanted something beautiful, unusual, and unique sitting out my kitchen as well as functional. John created a graphic image of my potential cutting board and helped me make decisions. I had no idea a board could be so special, but once I got it home I wanted to frame it instead of use it! John even revitalized my embarrassing old cutting board, which I can now use as a back up. I was so impressed with John's professionalism and craftsmanship that I ordered some unique pens as gifts, too. I hope to come to John again in the near future. This company knows wood. They can create something for any project you could imagine and even the ones you can't. I think John could produce something for anyone.

> I had LoneStar Artisans create gifts for my family. I wanted a variety of cutting boards for my kitchen and to give as gifts. They were done exactly as promised and to my specifications. The work is beautiful! The quality of woods and the workmanship is unbelievable! Next I am going to have them make me a piece of furniture! From cutting boards to furniture to cabinetry, LoneStar Artisans exceeds expectations. They are exceptional!

> I commissioned a desk from Lonestar Artisans. John worked with me to make sure the desk met both aesthetic and ergonomic requirments. He sent several sample drawings and pictures of the wood to make sure I was happy with the design and dimensions. He thought of other important details that did not occur to me. The end result has been a joy to both look at and use.

Requiring over 300 man-hours of labor, this unique anigre desk was a collaborative labor of love. The result is the finest piece of furniture that LoneStar Artisans has produced. Philosophically, we always try to start with the wood and let the project unfold from there. The carcass is figured cherry with gorgeous natural mineral streaking. ## Community Q&A

**Q: Deerslayer40** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where can this desk be purchased?

A: HI Deerslayer, I made this desk as a custom commission. Happy to discuss making you a similar one. Best, John Loftis

**Q: Where is it from?** *(in Product Questions)*

A: Hi Gary, I make all the cutting boards by hand in my shop in Dallas, Texas. I source the wood from boutique sawmills who are FSC certified (sustainable forestry practices). Typically, the hard maple I use comes from upstate New York and the walnut comes from either Missouri or Indiana. Hope that helps!

**Q: Does this come in a longer size .** *(in Product Questions)*

26" 36"?

A: Please shoot me an email and I will be in touch.

**Q: Liz** *(in Photo Questions)*

How much does this beautiful desk cast?

A: Hi Liz, Thanks so much for the compliment! A desk like this would be $5,500 to $7,000, depending on your wood and dimension preferences.
