**Q: Kitchen Backsplash help!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I think I've hit design fatigue!   12 months in -- I've made it this far with the wonderful inspiration on Houzz - but I'm really stuck with the backsplash.   My gut says white subway tile, and that was my original plan, but it seems so boring now.   Any suggestions?   I'm including some pictures of the two ends of the kitchen, I'm not sure how to gracefully end tile there.  (There once was a wall between kitchen and dining)  I'm also thinking I should run the backsplash all the way up behind the stove.

**Q: What type of flooring to use in my den?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I want to replace the carpet with a new floor. I love wood but the ceiling has wood and if I did use wood what color would I use?  I don't want it to be too dark in the den

**Q: How to change bench-top and feature tiles?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My partner recently bought his first house and we're going through the process of updating EVERYTHING (paint, new doors, door handles, switches etc) the bathroom is lovely and modern but I hate the blue kitchen bench and the 'ocean themed' feature tiles... Is there a way that I can change the colour of the bench and feature tiles (preferably without replacing the whole thing)...?? I am thinking maybe a dark grey kind of colour?? Any suggestions/help/advice is welcome!!

**Q: Kitchen redesign** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I recently purchased a home but could use some advice on the kitchen. The previous owners appeared to have started a remodel but didn't finish. The first two are what it currently looks like and the last pic is what I possibly want it to resemble.... Thoughts or comments?!

A: I think black is not the color for a kitchen. It looks like sunlight is not going inside that much also. You may want to use lighter color marble for the floors and the backsplash.
