> I recently completed a bathroom renovation and was looking for someone to install tile on the walls and floor. After doing some research, I came across Dutchess County Tile. Darin, the owner of the company came to my home to evaluate the job, and give me a proposal. After reviewing the job with him, I proceeded to schedule the work. The morning the job was scheduled to begin, he arrived at my home, on time. The bathroom was completed within the time frame I was given, and within budget. I could not be happier with the work that was performed. My bathroom tile looks fantastic! Darin is truly a professional, as well as a great guy to work with. If you're looking great tile installer, look no further.

> Darin of DS Tile installed our kitchen backsplash and did a fantastic job. He is very particular about his work which was very important to us, he gave us great design ideas and is very knowledgeable about installation and tile care. He's a true professional and great to work with.

> Darin from DS Tile did a fantastic job completely renovating our bathroom. He was prompt and clean and helpful in decisions. I would work with him in the future!

**★★★★ — sanibelsundial, March 2015**

> Darin came highly recommended and we are extremely satisfied with the end results. We recently had a new granite counter installed and wanted a tile backsplash to compliment our cabinets and stainless steel appliances. Sandi from Terre Tile helped us pick out appropriate color and shaped tiles, and Darin pulled it all together with subtle accents and a simple design. We feel that the key to our satisfaction is Darin's willingness to listen, communicate and provide customer service in a patient and caring way.

> I found Darin on Houzz.com and immediately took a liking to him upon contacting him. We hired him for a complete bathroom renovation and another company for custom cabinets. He was very easy to work with and was always available to talk and answer our questions. We were very happy going with him. We would def hire him again!

**★★★★★ — ginamarie818, Jan. 2015**

> I found out about Darin from Terra Tile in Fishkill. When he came to my house to give me an estimate my husband and I liked him right off the bat. He was such an honest and straightforward guy. We got two other estimates for our bathroom and Darin fell right in the middle price wise. We wound up hiring him to do our master bathroom and he did such an outstanding job! He walked me through the entire process and was so professional all the way through. I am very hard to please and he totally exceeded my expectations. My bathroom looks like pure perfection thanks to Darin and his crew. I also hired him to do my kitchen floor and I can't wait to see how awesome that turns out. I highly recommend DS Tile and Marble. You will be so happy with the results.

**★★★★ — User, Jan. 2015**

> Darin was really great to work with. He was prompt, respectful, had a great attitude and of course did a beautiful job installing our kitchen backsplash. Overall the project took 2 days. Darin was also great about providing several options for us to consider when it came to placement of the crown and pencil molding, as well ideas for solving an odd kitchen window. He offered ideas without any pressure to use them over what we had originally planned. Ultimately, we did make some modifications to our original design based on our conversations with Darin and are very happy with the results. I would hire DS Tile and Marble for a future tile project.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Will my kitchen be too white with white subway tile and grout???** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hey all.

I'm remodeling our kitchen and we are down to the wire. I've gone with white on white and getting ready for backsplash. I'm worried that with white subway it might get too white but then I'm thinking that with my hardwood floors stained a darker color and with accent pieces in my kitchen like red, etc., that the white will be fine.

Any ideas? I need to make a decision my morning. Help please!!!

A: You can put a feature band of a different tile in for a little pop if you don't want it all white. But the all white kitchen is back in style

**Q: cross-cut marble** *(in Photo Questions)*

look like marble silk georgette with cross cut, is it?

A: I'm not sure
my costumer supplied it
it was a porcelain tile. Sorry I could not be more helpfully

**Q: help with bathroom** *(in Design Dilemma)*

bathroom budget makeover

A: Something like this would look great
i just finished this bathroom

**Q: What is the brand and name of the tile? Thanks.** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: It is a pillowed Durango limestone 3x6

**Q: Tile shower floor ideas?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are looking at a 12x12 cream colored marble tile with a glossy finish for the shower walls. What type of tile is usually used for the floor with this? Would it look weird to have 2x2 tiles with the "tumbled finish" look? I want the floor material to look good but also be neutral because we're planning to also use a mosaic tile accent & don't want too many different types of tile for the space. Any input is appreciated!

A: you can use that same material on the floor, however i would hone the finish so its not slippery

**Q: Wondering about the cost of laying this way compared to subway?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: It is more labor intense, you can use 30% more as a guide for the extra labor
