We have resorted to using outdoor carpet around the pool because no reputable pool or tile company in the area will touch this project. > After only three years, the pool installation has deteriorated to the point that it will have to be replaced. Fairfield's bait and switch tactics are an outright scam. It's a shame that they were the only pool company that carried the fiberglass pool shell we wanted. Had we known, we would have definitely found someone else. > We have since learned that if the concrete is as thin as they installed it, it requires rebar or mesh reinforcement, and it obviously has neither. If it hadn't started cracking immediately, we would likely have been fooled by the thin, un-reinforced concrete. > We have spent the last three years trying to get Fairfield to remedy this situation, and have had to reach out to the shell manufacturer for assistance. This was by far the best experience for us. From the owner of the Company to the Sales person we worked with as well as the excavator and laborers, every single person was professional and couldn't help us enough to get this project finished as efficiently as possible. I also had an electrical contractor on the premises at the time the pool was being installed and he also gave unsolicited compliments to the workers installing the pool. It is a "one piece pool" which required pinpoint accuracy on the install. I was around for the whole project and watched the excavator ensure the pool was placed precisely into the ground with a margin of error of less than 1 inch!!! Amazing when the size of the pool is 20' x 40'. Additionally, after the pool was finished, we installed a very expensive patio. I asked Fairfield Pool to close the pool in October. In order to cover the pool with a cover that provided the utmost safety, they had to drill 20 holes into the new pavers to secure the cover. They walked me through the whole process before they started drilling the holes. Not one hole was incorrectly drilled, which if not carefully drilled could have caused chipping or even cracking on the new pavers!!! It is obvious that the many years of experience installing pools was evident in every aspect of the project. Thank you Fairfield Pool for last summer and the many summers ahead that we will be enjoying our new pool! **★★★★★ — Weston Homeowner, Nov. 2015** > We hired Fairfield Pool to replace our liner because they originally installed the pool 28 years ago and still had on file the particulars required to accurately estimate the cost to replace the liner. The owner is very knowledgeable and low key - Zero sales pressure as we made up our minds on liner pattern and etc. > > The new liner installation was completed 110% to our satisfaction - by the same team that built the pool 28 years ago (their recollection, not mine, as we bought our house two years ago). There were complications during installation due to liner manufacturer error which Fairfield Pool went to extraordinary lengths to successfully resolve. Took our money didn't came back til spring. They were right, the walls did collapse. We had to pay an excavator thousands of dollars to fill the pool. THEY NEVER EVEN RETURNED OUR DEPOSIT. **Comment from Fairfield Pool:** > We cannot disagree with this review strongly enough. Here is how we see the situation. We were asked by this person to replace his pool liner and fix some concrete near the stairs. This was not a new pool installation project. Fairfield Pool did not install this pool originally, it was installed sometime during the 1970s. The pool had been very neglected and was in a state of disrepair. We had never been contracted to maintain it. We gave the homeowner a quote to replace the liner and some concrete near the entry steps. We received a deposit to be applied toward the scope of the work. The balance to be paid upon completion. Upon removing the old liner and deteriorated concrete a lot more damage was uncovered. None of this could be seen with the old liner, water and concrete in place. He was given a cost estimate for the additional repairs and said that was more money than he wanted to spend on the pool. We then offered to fill in the pool for the same price he had paid as a deposit for the new liner. We made every effort to keep the client happy. > > By this time we had received the new custom made/fit liner which we are forced to keep and pay for. The Homeowner agreed to sign a change work order to fill in the pool for the sum of money he paid to date. Despite promising to the sign the change work order document, and after numerous attempts to offer to facilitate the signing process he never did. We paid out significant money for his pool liner and have undertaken work at his property.
