## Community Q&A

**Q: RTA Cabinet Shipping Delay - Forevermark Cabinets/Cabinet Select** *(in Remodeling)*

We ordered the petit brown slim shaker cabinets from cabinetselect.com at the end of November. At the time, they were noted to be in stock, shipping in 1-2 business days.

Since then we have been met with delay after delay. first mid Dec. Then after the holidays. Then end of January, and now mid-February. We are in the middle of a full reno project, and the snowball effect these cabinet delays have caused have cost us thousands already. 

They chalk it up to manufacturer delays in the Panama Canal. I'm frustrated, because it was listed as in stock stateside, so the Canal shouldn't have been a factor, but also, with the amount of materials, appliances, hardware, etc. we've bought within the past month, this has been the only delay.

Is anyone else experiencing these issues with Forevermark or Cabinet Select? Or the petit line, particularly? I feel like they're blowing smoke at this point, but not sure.

A: Hi Kristin & Alex, 
Typically Forevermark will give you back ordered dates when you recieve your quote. It's unfortunate your dealer did not relay these delays to you before ordering. 
For an RTA cabinet, Forevermark is very good quality and span the gap with applications for a contractor flip to a semi-custom kitchen remodel, depending on the experience of your designer. 
I've worked with Forevermark for over a decade. With those thousands of orders there have been some defects and damaged parts needing replaced but their warranty claim process is easy and painless and we usually get replacements within a week.
