He does a fabulous job of helping you achieve the look you are going for on your budget. His crews are professional, CLEAN, and know how to stick to a schedule. The end result is gorgeous. The communication was prompt and efficient. The Onyx Collection usually takes approximately 3 to 4 weeks to arrive from Kansas. An accurate time estimate was given for this time frame. The workers were experienced with the Onyx product and did a good job installing the product. They took two days to install the shower so that the base of the shower had time to set up. This kept them from walking over the newly laid shower floor and possibly knocking it out of alignment. I appreciated the extra time spent in doing the job correctly. The workmen cleaned up after themselves and left the area neat and free of debris. One advantage of buying the Onyx Collection shower base and walls from this company is there is no tax on the product which is a substantial savings over local companies such as Lowes or Home Depot. While Stein Design’s labor was a little higher than one of our other bids, the cost of the tax free Onyx collection almost offset the price difference. Stein Design was also willing to coordinate the shower installation with my husband who was refinishing the rest of the bathroom. I searched a long time for a reputable company like this who was willing to do this. I got a reference for Stein Design from a real estate agent, as well as reading good reviews for this company on Angie’s list. Even though this was a smaller job, Trey and his workers were still prompt with their service. Sometimes small jobs can go to the bottom of the list for some companies who only take expensive remodeling jobs. This was not the case with this company. Service was prompt and professional. From the very beginning, I could tell this company was different from the others. Extremely professional and detail oriented. I had two other companies out to bid my work (roof, siding, gutters). Two others that I contacted didn't even show up for the bid! The two that did were lacking knowledge and expertise. They didn't/wouldn't even offer the products that I wanted installed. Having come from a remodel/construction background, I felt I knew the right questions to ask about products, warranties, etc, and knew what products I wanted. Trey had answers to all of my questions, carries the best products around, offered a great labor warranty and is very competitively priced! The install went just as smooth as my initial consultation. The crews for the roof, and siding, were very professional. It was clear they had plenty of experience and took pride in their work, which I noticed after they had cleaned up. He has remodeled my master bath, cased out very large areas in my home, made and installed bookcases, installed interior doors, did deck work and put a new roof on my home. His people are not carpenters, they are cabinet makers. I have a very large and complicated fireplace in my living room and Trey's people matched the carveling of the existing trim to the bookcases. A very complicated job. The work was completed on time in a courteous and workmanlike manner. If they tell you something you can take it to the bank (and that is very hard to find in the remodeling business). If you are looking for the cheapest bid this is not the company for you. If you want quality and the job done on time at the bid price this is the company for you. Jobs were done neatly, quietly and professionally.
