Instead, they seemed to understand my predicament and agreed to come out and inspect the deck. While I was relieved at this, I was cognizant of the fact that they may turn me down and was prepared. However, they were totally honest with me about what they could do, the limitations and uncertainty of when they could do it and then sent a reasonable estimate. They didn't have to keep communicating with me while waiting on the weather to be amenable, but they did and that made a huge difference. That early relationship between client & contractor is vital and their transparency and honesty cemented what I hope will be a continuous relationship. They did a fantastic job, even suggested putting up a gate which looks awesome. Electrical- they made sure that we pass inspection and that we hold a certificate(we have our own electrical panel in the basement). > 2.Vents-Tony made sure that the vents' positions are maximized (he made sure when walls & ceilings are built, that the vents are still optimized and not covered). > 3.Windows- Terry made sure that they will look absolutely beautiful that we took time to make adjustments before he painted them. > 4.Doors-they made sure that the doors open to optimize space and create a better flow/transition. > 5.Baseboards used are above the standard heights (compared to what we currently have)- these made my walls "pop". > 6.Shiplap(Fireplace)-the installation is absolutely stunning that it enhanced the ambience of our basement. > 7.Bathroom- Tile/grout are elegant and the fixtures are perfectly positioned and installed. > 8.CO2/fire detectors- they replaced my old ones with new ones. > 9.Shows up on time and sticks to the schedule. We were looking for quotes to do our renovation and the only one that came, look at the house and gave real recommendations, a fast estimate and a down to earth price was Terry, a lot of other people just sent us quotes over the phone and a few even said that anything less than 120k was not worth their time. Terry and his crew came every day at the time they said they'll come, their attention to detail, experience and speed are unmatched, it is very easy to find horror stories about contractors but I don't have a single bad thing to say about them, we have the house we wanted and we'll be forever grateful (we even loved the music they played, I need that playlist ).
