**Q: Floating shelves height?** *(in Home Decorating)*

I have a very long wall with this fireplace/TV wall centered on it. I want to add floating shelves to each side. I'd like 3 shelves offset on both sides. My question is... How high should the bottom shelf be from the floor and how much space in between shelves? Will it be too crowded with 3 shelves, should I only do 2 on each side?

A: Hey there is no standard for placing shelves besides TV. But if you have younger kids or pets you can place the lower shelf a little higher. I think the distance between the shelves should be same. 3 shelves would look great instead of 2 but it might depend on the height of the ceiling.

When it comes to decorating it's just not in my blood! Want the place to feel more comfortable Getting a bigger TV put up on the wall & a new tv stand! Please give me all the advice and suggestions!

A: I think bigger TV in the wall with a sleek wall mounted media cabinet should do the trick.

I just got backsplash done & need to replace the light above the island, the light above the sink & the ceiling fan above the table. Any ideas is greatly appreciated!

A: There are too many cool tones in this space. You should bring in a little warmth by adding brass or similar lighting fixtures.

Hello, i have a dilemma about shoe molding, should i put or not with my new floor and baseboards?

A: I think it really depends on you. If you like and extra detail and have an extra budget go for it otherwise avoid.

**Q: need help with stairs please !!!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi 👋 I need some design ideas . We are ripping out stairs and redoing it and laying down new pavers as well . Should we do it in brick ? The layout will stay the same or something else like neutrals stone . I don’t want to steer to much away from the brick on the house now. Pic of current stairs and pavers that will be placed . Looking for more contemporary look .

A: In my opinion something grey like concrete pavers or rugged look grey stone tiles would be a good option. It will go well with the surrounding urban landscape too and not look out of place.
