From the outset, their lack of familiarity with the Alameda permit process led to extensive delays and oversights. The project, initially estimated at six weeks, was still ongoing after 14 months. > > The cleanliness on the site was abysmal, with no protective barriers during the demo, resulting in pervasive dust throughout our home. Despite numerous complaints, makeshift plastic partitions were poorly erected, leading to a broken window and permanent damage to our 1940s wood floors. > > Issues continued to mount with the installation of countertops, where workers carelessly placed tools without protection, causing damage. A drafter's miscalculation led to ill-fitting cabinets and the need for a new slab. Countless errors followed, from visible nails on cabinet panels to poorly concealed cracks in countertops. Our kitchen sink was completely installed incorrectly. > > The fireplace tile required four redo attempts due to uneven edges and grout color mistakes. Beams made from compressed wood had to be replaced at our expense, as GADI failed to deliver quality craftsmanship. > > Electrical work was a debacle, with last-minute switch orders, outlets installed at the wrong height, and hood range covers affixed upside down, leaving irreparable damage. Unreliable work schedules, inconvenient weekend mornings, and multiple no-shows added to the frustration. > > Our new brass faucet and back Dutch door suffered scratches and damage, exemplifying the lack of care throughout the project. Even our old oven door was broken due to negligence. > > Two years later, we continue to grapple with electrical issues, with poorly wired components posing fire hazards. We've had to enlist outside help multiple times to rectify GADI's subpar work. > > In summary, our experience with GADI has been a litany of disappointments, from delayed permits and shoddy workmanship to damaged property and ongoing electrical issues.
