The deck improvements involved removing and replacing many boards and screwing down all the boards that the home builder simply nailed resulting in many boards bending, twisting, and coming loose. In addition, they did a thorough job of sealing the entire deck not just on top and sides but underneath as well with a beautiful natural looking sealant that they suggested. A $3,000 line item was missing from the original quote and HomeBuild came back to us, requesting that we pay for what was left out from the original quote. We were also surprised that they requested payment several times before the project was completed. The agreement clearly states a deposit at the beginning of the signed agreement and full payment at the end of the project.
