> We recently finished a home renovation project and we cannot recommend Danielle enough because she was absolutely amazing. We decided to replace the flooring throughout the house, texture and paint the ceilings and walls, add canned lights and install a pocket door to a very small bathroom. Our budget was tight and we were not sure if we had money to spare to hire an interior designer or if we really even needed one. What we didn’t know was all of the services that Danielle offered in her packages which included project management. As soon as we met her we knew we needed her. She recommended the most wonderful general contractor (Moises with J&R Quality Builders) and she drew up the plans and measured the house herself to determine where the new lighting would go, how much flooring to buy and gave recommendations on materials to use. We hired her to manage the project and we also bought a flexible package of hours that we could use to consult her about design ideas and recommendations. The idea of this project had been so daunting to us. It seemed straight forward in theory but we had no idea what order to do everything in or who to call for each step. Moises and his team did everything….it was one stop shopping and the quality of their work was outstanding. Danielle took the stress off of us by managing the renovation and keeping us updated on the progress. Towards the end of the project when she asked us about specific things we needed to choose we literally deferred everything to her and let her make the choices for us. We had complete trust in her. Never in our lives did we think a home renovation project could go that smoothly. Not only was she worth every penny she likely saved us money with her knowledge and expertise. Everything was done right and at the final walk through she made a list of the tiniest details (things we didn’t even notice) to be done to make it perfect. We were so impressed with Moises that after the project was over we had him help us with repairs on the patio in the backyard too!! We thought that interior designers choose curtain patterns and furniture and while Danielle can certainly do that if you need her to she does so much more. She is helping to make our house a home. Danielle and Moises are on speed dial for our future projects. We were beyond grateful that we found them.

> In our 3-hour consultation, we received creative and practical guidance to transform our awkward floor plan into spaces that we could be proud of. Danielle was friendly, professional, and a good communicator. Her vision for our home included a possibility that we had never contemplated before. Time and money well spent!

> Danielle is fantastic! She was very prompt in getting back to us, and willing to work with us for our specific needs. A new build involves endless important details that can be very overwhelming, and I can't express enough how much of a relief it is to have her as a resource. She is very creative, good at problem-solving, and really listened to my specific style preferences. I know that having her professional design assistance saved us from making mistakes that would have taken a lot of time and money to correct. I would give her the highest recommendation!

> I've used Danielle Interior Design & Decor for design recommendations and space planning a few times for different rooms. Dani has exceeded my expectations on all accounts. Without her priceless advice I would have kept making the same mistakes in interior design. She evaluates not only our desires, but how the space will be used before making recommendations. Her expertise has given my home the polish that it needed while retaining the functionality needed for my family.

> We recently completed a successful project designed and overseen by Danielle Perkins of Danielle Interior Design and Decor. Danielle and her contractors exceeded our expectations in every way.
>
> We were looking to improve the functionality of the kitchen in our new home, specifically our pantry closet. Interested in Danielle’s positive reviews on Houzz, my husband and I took advantage of her introductory offer to visit our home, consult with us and begin to reorganize our kitchen in ways that made it more efficient. Together we determined that the pantry closet needed a complete makeover. Danielle’s communication with us was excellent and she took the time to truly understand what we wanted to create. After exchanging photos and drawings it became apparent that stock cabinetry would not accomplish our goal of making pantry items more visible and accessible without losing a lot of storage space in the process.
>
> The original pantry closet had a door and 4 deep, fixed shelves, making it very difficult to reach the items at the rear of the shelves without knocking over other things. There was not enough lighting and the back of the top shelf was not even visible without using a step ladder.
>
> Danielle contacted a custom cabinet-maker about making pullouts to accommodate our needs. She and her contractor met with us at our home to understand exactly what we wanted to store and get an idea for how heavy the pantry items would be. Eventually we decided that heavy-duty pullouts (two instead of three because we would lose too much space to the cabinetry and slides themselves) with a drawer below would be the best way to access what we had to store.
>
> Plans were drawn, designs approved, samples submitted and contracts signed for both the cabinet-maker and the general contractor who did the demolition of the old closet and construction, painting and tiling of the new space to accommodate the new cabinet. We engaged Danielle’s services on an hourly basis on this project to ensure that the timeline was coordinated and things went smoothly.
>
> We were so impressed by both contractors Danielle selected. The cabinet-maker knew his craft well and made suggestions that we would not have considered. The quality of the actual finished cabinet was wonderful. He took in to account the weight of canned and jarred goods and selected soft close slides that can handle that load for the long haul. The general contractor was respectful of our home and impeccably clean about setting up dust-containment drop cloths around the demolition so my house was not filled with gypsum dust. The workers laid resin paper on the wood floor (removed each day) and swept and tidied before they left. All wood and tile cutting was done outside. All workmanship was top notch. On top of this, Danielle and \*everyone\* who came to our house was just so nice and pleasant to have around. If I had one small critique it would be that we did have to wait a bit longer for our project to be completed because talented tradespeople are always in demand. In the end though, it was well worth the wait!

> Danielle Interior Design & Decor is much more than a design business, it is a remarkable experience with a personable and talented designer, and the result is an enjoyable journey! I look forward to another project with Danielle!

**★★★★★ — Denise Jillard, Sept. 2019**

> Danielle was excellent to work with. She has a wonderful eye for the potential of any space. She blends creativity with function and design. All of the suppliers I met through her also spoke very highly of her.

**★★★★★ — Toni Christy, Sept. 2019**

> Danielle did an excellent job helping me with my kitchen remodel. We went over every question I had, and we did some layouts of what we though fit my way of thinking, organizationally speaking. I would not hesitate to hire her again, and I probably will, as we progress through the house!!!

**★★★★★ — A M, Dec. 2018**

> We hired Danielle for a 3 hour consultation to finalize our paint/flooring design plans and general decorating trouble spots for our home. Danielle made great suggestions that fit our budget. We will definitely work with her again!

**★★★★★ — Lindsay Bollman, Sept. 2018**

> Danielle is impeccable! She came into our project after we had been spiraling in ideation, and quickly helped us focus, prioritize and finalize plans. Her creative, yet practical, guidance has been invaluable. We highly recommend working with her, as we plan to be doing so on any project we have in the future!

**★★★★★ — May Lyon, Aug. 2018**

> I am currently remodeling my bathrooms and I have a coming up project for my kitchen. My kitchen and dining room are in a combined space, I have been wanting to add storage to the kitchen area and dining room area without making it look like a box that only serves to store things. So, I needed professional help and I found Danielle through Houzz. I left a message on her website and she responded to me really quickly by calling me and talking to me about what I want for my kitchen and explained to me how she will help me with decisions. At that point, I was excited but also a little worried about this kind of information based consultation – I wasn’t sure what level of the outcome will the consultation bring me. BUT, after I met Danielle, all I can say is, I wish I had met her before I started my other remodel projects.
> Danielle is a very good listener, very friendly, down-to-earth, humble, detail-oriented, intuitive, informative and resourceful. And of course she has very good taste. She is not only an interior designer, she knows the work process of remodeling and she values quality. She walked me through the whole kitchen design with details - specific enough that it comes to the spot of lightening, the size and shape of a table etc.), and provided us with a solid solution. The 3 hours consultation turned out to be a very valuable experience to me – again, I wish I had done that before I started any projects. Danielle also follows up with my questions regarding the consultation, and also the color, shape etc. of products that she suggested, thus I have a vivid picture of my house with all the design she suggested in mind that I can apply before my kitchen project starts. I strongly recommend Danielle to all the home owners who want to remodel.

**★★★★★ — Donna Smith, July 2018**

> We have called on Danielle twice. Once with a small budget and flexible deadline and again with a bigger budget, but a tight schedule. Danielle surprised and pleased us both times with her organizational skills, her space saving, labor saving, and money saving ideas. My husband was adamant about keeping his cooking equipment and kitchen gadgets despite her tactful ways of verifying that he really needed all that stuff and then designing storage cabinets and a desk for the dining room to accommodate it beautifully. Handy but out of sight. We had made some terrible errors painting out kitchen cabinets over the years and told her to take charge of the color. Hurray for drawers and lazy Susans!! Christmas of 2017, we had a pipe break in the kitchen and had to do it all over again with a bigger budget, but we needed a sink as soon as possible. Danielle worked tirelessly to pull everything together in a timely manner.

**Q: cabinet info please** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love this kitchen. What type of wood and stain is the cabinets?

A: Hi Tara,
The cabinets are alder. It was a little tricky because sometimes they can produce a grey tint on the wood after being stained. So we had to do a custom stain after a clear coat. Sorry, I don't have more info. I also highly recommend rift-cut white oak with a clear coat. Always a winner.

**Q: Can I use your image on my blog page? Thanks** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can I use your image on my blog page? Thanks

A: Yes, that is fine as long as you credit me as the designer and Taylor Abeel as the photographer. Will you please let me know what blog it will be featured in? Thanks for asking.
