> Weedman Design Partners has worked tirelessly on an extensive remodel currently underway of our turn-of-the-century, historic (listed) home in Portland, Oregon. We wanted an architectural team with expert knowledge on the style/original architecture of our house so that we could restore it authentically, but also so that we could depart from it and modernize the interior without denigrating design features that really needed to remain. Their dedication and know-how allowed us to make decisions confidently and spared us from having to personally take the time to investigate every detail, fixture and design element. WDP misses nothing and they do not make mistakes with budgets and deadlines. They do a lot of drafting at reasonable rates so that all involved are on the same page. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants an informed result that's as close to perfection as possible, and doesn't have the time to shepherd the details of the project themselves.

> My wife and I can't say enough good things about the Weedmans.  They were terrific people to work with.  They knew when to be diplomatic and when to stand firm.  Their conceptual drawings gave us a clear understanding of the final product.  They went to bat with the contractor on our behalf on more than one occasion and shielded us from background frustration.  They kept the project on schedule and on budget.  They recommended a contractor that did great work at a fair price.  Most importantly, they created a warm, beautiful space that we are very happy with.

> We hired the Weedman's to take our project from initial design to final completion. We had started with another architect to design our complete "down to the studs" remodel of our 1911 home, but ended up working with Weedman Design to finalize the design and begin the construction. They took the existing plans and value engineered the design to work within our budget. They managed the contractors we hired. Which was a big job because the contractor had a bunch of internal management issues that resulted in us firing them prior to completion of the project. The Weedman's introduced us to a new contractor that fixed the many issues left by the original contractor and then finished the work that had not been started.

> The Weedman's always provided great options for us to choose from that made choosing finishes easy. I always felt they saved us money because they knew where to shop and where to find the best deals. They advised us where it was more important to spend money on quality fixtures and where we could go with the less expensive item. For example, I was pretty excited about a stainless steel kitchen sink I found online that was $900. They found me a sink that was the same style for $200.

A: Hi! the refrigerator is on the other side of the island, on the wall perpendicular to the island.  We put a built-in microwave and pull-out pantry also on that wall.

A: I believe these pulls are made by Amerock - from the Blackrock collection.

A: thanks for your question! these cabinets are rift sawn white oak with a clear finish.

Is the island vertical grain fir or rift white oak?

A: This is fir - so very new yet, it hasn't had a chance to age.
