Our company has been building in Southern Maine for over thirty years and has always been family owned and operated. Our team is led by Founder & President, Roland Morrison, who has worked on everything from large scale commercial projects to sprawling ocean front properties. Today, Roland works in conjunction with his son, Josh Morrison who leads each project in both a professional & diligent manner.

> We are a week away from moving into our new, RP Morrison-built home on Sebago Lake in Windham, Maine. We found the Morrison’s in August, 2019. Roland, Josh and Jenny came to our soon to be demolished summer-only lake home for what we thought was an opportunity for us to decide on whether we should hire them. Turns out they were deciding on whether they should hire us as well. It didn’t take long for Roland, the patriarch of the firm, to look across the table and say, “We’re interviewing you too.” Touche Roland. Speaking for myself it was “these are the right guys” at first sight. My less emotional and far more experienced construction project manager wife took a little longer but not much. We got a twofer that day as well. Jenny Morrison is a top notch designer, and her experience would play a major role in the interior of the home as construction progressed. We hired her company, Morrison Design House, the same day we hired RP Morrison Builders.
> We knew we were about to embark on a long journey. We’d sold our Montana vacation home and would soon sell our Chicago home. Mary Ellen had  spent months with Chicago Architect Frank Klepitsch of Graceline designing the home that would be the culmination of all we’d learned from the homes we’d rehabbed, built from scratch or purchased over our 38 years together.

> Carpenters Russ, Joe, Pete and Mike brought the drawings to life. Keith’s custom mill work was superb. Josh and Roland were always on top of the project and brought us Maine-builder solutions that increased the value of the home. Jenny fundamentally rethought the interior, leading us to a nature-based, natural wood approach that we have fallen in love with. She worked with us to pick the new furniture, plumbing and light fixtures, wallpaper, paint finishes, the list goes on. She pushed us out of our comfort zone and we found a new one in which we couldn’t be happier. All of the subcontractors were not only top notch professionals, they were people we’d be happy to have in our home anytime.
