After one of my Hunter Douglas blinds was damaged during our remodel, I contacted 5 Hunter Douglas retailers in the area. Robert returned my call right away and set up a time to come out to see my blind. He offered helpful suggestions about how to replace it and listened to my concerns without trying to upsell me. Robert worked to get the perfect replacement for our situation at a price that was less than was others were quoting. Also, there wasn't charge to take down/put up the replacement blind or for travel. After waiting six weeks (when he told me it would take two) and being told by Robert that Hunter Douglas had “quality issues” with my order, I reached out to Hunter Douglas directly, only to find out an order was never placed. They advised me to request a refund immediately from Robert and they also leaned on him until I received it. Hunter Douglas then put me in touch with The Blind Alley, who quickly remeasured and placed my order. I had it installed in my house in two weeks. I tried another well reputed company first. That company made it sound so hard to do business with them, I got frustrated. We did have a combination of needs...older blinds that had issues and we didn't know if repair was an option or if replacement was required. I wanted advice on new blinds for 3 rooms plus I wanted advice on the older blinds - repair or replace. The first company told me I would need 3 different appointments, One for the design consult, one for the repair/replace consult and one for the install. I just don't have time to make 3 appointments with one company! > > NW Window Coverings returned my after hours call first thing the next morning. They were professional and easy to work with. Kathryn set an appointment that fit my schedule and when the design consultant arrived he first wanted to look at our old blinds and their issues. He immediately connected with a service/install expert who came out during the design consult, removed the old blinds, explained what repairs were needed and replaced them with temporary blinds! The designer showed us samples in our home and gave us options. We placed an order on the spot and the new blinds along with the repaired blinds were professionally installed within 2 weeks! It was SO simple! They were in constant communication with us regarding shipment of our new blinds, their ETA and coordinated the repairs so everything could be done in one appointment. > > This company has it going on!
