A: I agree with Diane. Lightening the color of the siding and door would be an immediate impact. Remove the old edging and go to an English style (no edging) while building up the bed. A good plant option would also be Encore Azaleas. They would give you a great splash of color throughout the year. Great home. **Q: Curb appeal** *(in Design Dilemma)* What would give my house some curb appeal? Paint change suggestions? Front door suggestions? A: I wouldn't worry about paint as much as mature landscaping throughout. **Q: front curb appeal** *(in Design Dilemma)* Have lived here for 5 years and want to change the front, but do not know what direction to go..help!! A: I think you need something to soften the left facade. Depending on budget, I would come out with an arbor and small patio. If it isn't in the budget, change the landscape and add something vertical on both sides of the double window. Wonderful home though. **Q: Need help with house architecture** *(in Design Dilemma)* I have a property which is 7.5 acres with an existing rambler style house. There are lots of woods in the back which is well manicured and we would like to have a view of the backyard from most of the living space. A: Call Mark Johnson at Architectural Stone Company 972-473-9988 **Q: Curb appeal part 2** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hello, I posted some photos last month and got some great input to cut back our trees before addressing any curb appeal improvements. So we shaped our oaks considerably so you can now actually see the house. Hoping someone might have an idea on where our money is be spent on improving curb appeal. Love to have a sitting area under the oaks but not sure what we can do there because of the root system of the trees. Also thinking of cutting off some of the driveway that leads to the front door and replacing with something that looks more like a walkway. You can see from the pictures, any ideas would be VERY appreciated.
