That's why, when our house was damaged by fire and needed major repair, we knew it was just an excuse to build our dream home with her. > The project wasn’t simple given the time pressure of submitting plans to the city quickly and incorporating our existing house as we couldn’t simply demolish it per city restrictions. > Within two months Irit delivered amazing design that was both functional and innovative. Her design is exceptional in that she is using minimum detail to creating big visual effects, just by using lines and surfaces that interact with each other in the perfect location and proportions.
She was able to take our existing plain home and envision this special cubical modern home that is just to our liking. A: Thanks. but this project was caceled. **Q: glass balustrade** *(in Photo Questions)* Hi, is the glass balustrade set in a channel? Can that be done on a timber frame? Thanks A: Thanks for the question. Yes, the glass guard is set in a channel which is then concealed by the floor finish. This can probably be accomplished on a timber frame. It just depends on how you finish it out. **Q: Glass doors** *(in Photo Questions)* Love the sliding glass doors. Can you please share who manufactured them? Are they custom? Thanks A: Schuco frames were used in these doors. Most doors of this nature are custom made to order. We are finishing another project in the Oakland Hills with similar doors. A: Polished concrete was used here. **Q: What are the floors called** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Thanks for the comment. The concrete can be colored with pigments to achieve different shades. **Q: What kind of form is used to make that texture and color for concrete** *(in Photo Questions)* I want to know how can I make my concrete walls look like that... A: Certainly. Those holes you see are created from the ties which hold the formwork together.
