A: It's called Giallo Nathalia. I had to dig deep but finally found it! This is an older project so understand every slice of the mountain is different. You really do have to romance the stone and search for the slabs that are current. Thanks for your interest. Ione **Q: Are you aware of problems with maple floors in waterfront locations?** *(in Photo Questions)* We are redoing a home on the coast of Cape Cod. We love the clean look of maple floors (wanted to avoid oak-too busy). Our contractor told us that his supplier and installer would not stand behind maple floors in high moisture areas due to how much maple can expand and contract. Wondering if you are aware of that and if so if you have suggestions of other wood species or how to get the look of this house (even if we end up using oak). Thanks in advance. A: I recommend an engineered product rather than a solid that will be more stable and reduce the chance of bowing. **Q: How do you open the drawers on the left side of this pantry?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: This is a common and costly mistake caused by poor planning. They're lucky it wasn't a refrigerator. At least they have options here.They can either remove the rack on the left door or remove drawers and use open shelves. You have to plan for full swing doors in order to pull out any drawers. **Q: Is the pop up mixer in an "angled end cabinet"?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: The cabinet box was not angled. You can't see it in this photo but there is another cabinet door on the left where the angle is greatest. We just had to do a little math to make it work. Thanks for your interest. The main island box was about 6 feet and the angled lower box took about 4 feet. I hope this helps. Do you have a dedicated area in your kitchen or elsewhere in your home that serves this purpose? If so, let's hear about it! Share your experience! (photos encouraged) A: My clients wanted a self serve coffee/beverage station out of the way of the busy kitchen. We Installed a Miele single serve maker so guests could choose their preferred flavor and enjoy a cup at any given moment.
