Eco+Historical is a design and development firm that brings new life to historic homes through LEED Platinum eco rehabs that adapt historic homes for contemporary family living while maintaining a warm traditional feel.  

While neither architects nor builders, we can guide homeowners or prospective homeowners through the whole process from searching for a home to gut remodels, including architectural oversight, interior architectural design (specifying cabinets, trim, lighting, plumbing fixtures, etc.), AV and smart home consulting, HVAC consulting, and assistance with permitting. A: The door system was part of a doors and window package from Sierra Pacific Windows and Doors.

A: This is a custom bifold door system from Sierra Pacific Windows and Doors. I believe this particular unit was also aluminum clad on the exterior.

I am framing a wall almost identical to this, there is a doorway that will separate the kitchen space from the office side, I'm guessing the bump out divide is maybe 28" off the finished wall behind the cabinets?? Am I close? Is the office desktop as deep as the counters in kitchen, 24"?

A: Yes, we just wanted to extend the divider wall 2" or so past the finished countertop.  The counters in both spaces have identical depths.

Which railing system did you use for the frameless railing? How did you meet the code requirements without top rail?

A: The deck railing is a safety railing, not a handrail. The frameless glass is rigid, tempered and laminated and sits in a 4" boot. No top rail is needed to meet code.
