- [House of Borrowed Light](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/house-of-borrowed-light-pj-vj~1161697)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 15
  - Description: The House of Borrowed Light is a penthouse at the top of a postmodern high-rise designed by SOM in downtown San Francisco. The defining feature of the plan is the interplay between adjacencies and relationships. Intimate and personal, the design exhibits Form4 Architecture’s penchant for placemaking on two levels: The first is the metaphoric sense of its location in the context of San Francisco; the second is the penthouse in the context of the client’s life. True to its name, the design brought…
- [Mondrian's Window: Beach Residence](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/mondrian-s-window-beach-residence-pj-vj~567505)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 12
  - Description: Designed for two artists this rear addition to a one-bedroom house symbolizes the architecture of linearity and sequence, where all of the rooms across the three-stories have a sight-line, progressively more expansive as one moves higher, overlooking a downward sloping garden and panoramas of the Bay to the North. The rear elevation, now the primary façade of the house, is rich in explicit formal references. They range from the Dutch cabinet maker/architect Gerrit Rietveld for volumetric composi…
- [SeaSong](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/seasong-pj-vj~1161706)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 11
  - Description: Inspired by the craggy coast of Big Sur, California, Sea Song is an uplifting and poetic home, living in harmony with the wild environment of the peninsula it is located on. With strong references to the ocean and creatures of the sea, the arrangement of three pavilions resembles a trio of gliding Manta Rays. The pavilions house three bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and office space, and are arranged for a minimal footprint within the natural landscape. The interiors of these elegant, mostly gla…
- [Mountain Aerie House](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/mountain-aerie-house-pj-vj~1161699)
  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 10
  - Description: Mountain Aerie House is a mountaintop dwelling clad in copper and designed to celebrate the owner's passion for collecting and creating art. Gallery spaces link all aspects of the home. A system of unique features, including an elevator large enough to bring paintings and sculpture to the upper level and a "low-tech" winch, allow paintings to be lowered from the studio window to support the functionality and delight of the 6,850 square foot retreat nestled in the oaks.
