They don’t actually do the work themselves. They are just liaisons who hire subcontractors and mark up their prices. > > Initial quote including drywall repair which was “no problem at all” and was told would be included in the quote. I fielded half a dozen calls to answer tedious questions about my quote. Many calls and emails to schedule an “initial walk through” for the project and said she’d call on Friday for final details of my Monday project start. We never received a call and then the company did not show up on Monday. When I contacted them, they said they called Friday to say they wouldn’t be starting Monday but didn’t leave a message even though I asked them to email or message everything so it was in writing. The next day it was 10 am and they hadn’t arrived because they went to a home in Scottsdale when I live 40 miles away in Surprise. The “project manager” then said they still needed to pick up the paint which I didn’t understand because she said the reason they weren’t able to start on Monday is because there was an issue with product availability and they would be getting it Monday for Tuesday. Plus, why would their guys even go to the home (in Scottsdale) without supplies. > > Upon arrival at nearly 11 am after waiting around all morning, we needed to do yet another walk through with the “project manager” and the subcontractor. Not quite sure what the first walk through was even for. Literally a waste of time. The subcontractor then proceeds to say that he can not do the ceiling drywall repair which was in the original quote and the only reason we elected to go with this company. > > So after showing how incompetent this company was, we decided to not go with them any more. Which the project manager just kept repeating that she only wants us to be comfortable. After that happened we are then informed that we are now liable for all of the materials they purchased for the job (even ones that could be reused on another job) and received an inflated invoice for a thousand dollars. Yet the paint sample we gave them did not match the product type they provided and they would not give us our quart back which we paid for. Not anywhere in the paperwork or quote does it say anything about a cancellation policy or that we are subject to any fees or fines for not using their services. Especially when they did not stick to the terms of their own agreement and were completely incompetent and unprofessional. **★★★★★ — Brad Remley, May 2018** > I would use them again. Mike was the customer service representative for Shift and all the scheduling went through him. He also came out on the first day to introduce himself and came out again when the job was finished.
