Rug ideas to tie family room together** *(in Home Decorating)* My husband and I recently remodeled our basement which is a natural walkout. We have purchased a couple rugs only to return them because they didn’t tie everything together that we currently have in the room (painting, curtains, coach). Does anyone have any rug ideas? Please see the below images for a few simple yet streamline options. **Q: Guest Shower Remodel** *(in Design Dilemma)* We're looking to convert our tub/shower to shower only - First picture is of the current space - as you can see it's desperate for attention. We have purchased the two of the three tiles thus far. The rectangular one, is a mix of copper and silver coloring and will be used as the main tile from floor to ceiling. The glass mosaic in pewter is a mix of light and warm. We will be using the mosaic in a strip down (from the ceiling to the floor) the shower - 9' and 24" across. It will also be utilized in a shampoo nook on the right shower wall. The small square mosaic - found in the model kitchen at a local tile store - is something we wished to use for the floor of the shower - but is no longer available. Any ideas on what to use for the shower floor? Please note that the reason for our 'dark' colors is because hubby and I are tired of scrubbing and scrubbing some more. Shower door will be similar to this, but not as many windows... Any input/suggestions/ideas/etc. will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Please look at the next post for the other half of the same bathroom. A: Hi there! I love how did the vanity with the vessel sinks and single hole vessel faucets! Maybe something simple like this with a sling door but in your colors of course? **Q: Need to paint tomorrow** *(in Design Dilemma)* The current wall color is dark and you can see the beautiful, but orangy, woodwork in our Victorian. I need to lighten the walls as we have a decent amount of woodwork now and a walnut baby grand is coming soon so even more darkness will be added. To top it off we have a magenta based carpet. The next room over has a mural. How do I tie it together or at least blend it in through a lighter wall color? A: Hi there, maybe pull a light yellow tone from the carpet? How about a faint yellow like one of these? **Q: Accent Wall- Color Advice** *(in Paint)* Hi all, My boyfriend has lived in his condo for three years and has not changed the orange accent wall. The condos were built in 2008 and every single one of them has this bright orange color in it. The designer must be a University of Tennessee fan. This image is from a listing for a condo in his building, not his, but is very similar. The apartment is very industrial with a wall of windows across from the kitchen. Most of his furniture is dark brown. I also suggested we add shelves across the currently orange wall on the side by the kitchen. What color suggestions do you have for this wall? Thank you! A: Maybe this color blue? =) **Q: Master Bedroom Window Treatments** *(in Windows)* I have a bedroom with windows on 3 of the 4 walls. When entering the room, you look at a vertical, 2 pane, standard window. The walls to the left and right of this window have horizontal windows that are placed higher up on the walls. I'd like to add floor to ceiling draperies on either side of the window above our bed (right side of the room). What type of window treatments should I use for the other 2 windows? A: Is there any way you can post some pictures for a visual? :) **Q: OT: Where do I go to buy a couch?** *(in Kitchens)* Ask me anything about tile, that’s my comfort zone. When I realized I needed a new couch in the house I chose badly, bought a leather one online. Three years later with very light use it looks awful - terrible, deflated cushions, creased leather that has torn, and my neighbor sat on it today and broke it. So where do I go now? Arhaus? Restoration Hardware? The furniture stores in Cleveland that advertise on TV don’t really fill me with confidence. I made a mistake three years ago. I don’t want another awful couch. Thanks for the input. A: I sold furniture at Ethan Allen, Thomasville and La-z-Boy and La-Z-Boy is by far the best in quality and comfort.
