**★★★★★ — Tosha Robinson, Oct. 2018**

> Dane is exceptional!!! His experience, knowledge, creativity, and passion makes the process simple and seamless. He went above and beyond to help us design our dream home while respecting our budget and incorporating our "must haves". Amazingly, he was also able to integrate much of the "wish list" items into our plan. Most importantly, Dane is very professional and produces a truly unique product. I would highly recommend Dane's services!

**★★★★ — User, Sept. 2018**

> Dane was a great partner - helped realize our vision for this property which was more of a modern Scandinavian influenced design

**★★★★★ — Wade B, Sept. 2018**

> Couldn't be happier with the result from Elements Design. They were attentive to our project through the whole process of design. Communication was fast and any changes we wanted made to our house plan were made within a day or two. This was extremely helpful to us as we were on a timeline to start building. Thanks!

**Comment from Elements Design Build:**

> Wade thank you so much for the review and the picture!

**★★★★★ — Scott Sibley, Aug. 2018**

> Dane is absolutely one of the most professional architects I've ever worked with. I've been in the business including commercial homes and hotels, Dane and his company stands up to the best of them that includes: worldwide. Dana has a very talented mind and is able to work with you on your project to help you develop your images that you have in your mind and put them on paper. He does this in a very quick manner at a great price. I not only recommend him but I will put him as part of our team and using them in the future for our projects.

## Community Q&A

**Q: what white color is on your house?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What white is on this house?

A: I believe it was Sherwin Williams Creamy however this project is 12 years old so I can not remember for sure

**Q: 1912 Craftsman kitchen remodel** *(in Home Decorating)*

We are remodeling our 1912 Craftsman home kitchen that is currently in disarray with tile counters, cracking floors and odd layout circa 1970. We already have the architectural plan set, and general look with white quaker cabinets, a built in storage bench for a breakfast nook and butler's pantry. We'd like to stay on the more neutral side to keep with the Craftsman style, but also have a bit of a farmhouse look in the rest of the house. We'll have some dark wood accents in the breakfast nook table and other little pieces throughout.
We're mostly stuck on the countertops. Do we go with a darker brown granite contrasting with the white cabinets to look more like our farmhouse furniture, or a lighter/white countertop to blend in a bit more (likely a quartz)? What is best for resale value and just has a better look overall?

Pictures:
1\. Our current dining/living area to get a feel for our current look.

2\. Flooring we'll be putting in the kitchen

3\. Farmhouse sink similar to what we'll have in the kitchen.

4\. Option of using dark brown countertop similar to this:

5\. Option of using dark brown countertop similar to this:

OR

6\. Option of using lighter neutral color countertop like this:

A: Maybe yes and yes I believe it is a personal preference. I do think if you go with a darker that the black soapstone is a better fit then the brown. However, I think lighter similar to a Carrara marble but in a more durable product like quartz. We have some good example on our homes kitchen section of our site https://elementshomebuilder.com/portfolio-items/kitchen/
