> To Whom It May Concern,
> My husband and I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Ms. Post on a number of occasions over a 15 year period within our home in East Lincoln Park. Her excellent design skills cover both decor and structural details. Ms. Post does an amazing job of helping the client realize their final goals, even if that involves working in phases.
> Throughout our time spent working together, I actually felt that Carole had not only become a trusted advisor, but a family friend as well. Working with Carole was a pleasure.
> Ms. Post works well with architects, general and sub-contractors. For us, Carole was incredibly receptive to working with our ideas and desires. As an artist, with strong visions for our design project, not only was Ms. Post able to work with me, but she was able to gently guide me in terms of, "thinking outside the box" and was even able to gently coax me into looking at other ideas; which is not an easy task.
> I'd have no hesitation in asking her to work with me again and gladly recommend her to other clients.
> Sincerely,
> Dr.& Ms. Rozenfeld

> I worked with Carole Post on two homes. She was hired at the inception of both projects which were both new construction. Her interior design expertise is not only masterful, but she possess architectural knowledge that is proficient as well. The marriage of these skills proved invaluable on both projects. She is professional, creative, provides a realistic budget (and sticks to it), is easy-going and has IMPECCABLE taste. In addition, she is not intimidating, has the ability to design at any budget level and completes all tasks on time. In short, she is a pleasure to work with and i give her my highest recommendation!!!!

> Carole has taken care of all of my interior design needs for the last 13 years. She is an exceptional individual who can find the perfect pieces, choose all the right furnishings as well as design and oversee necessary alterations and restorations. She takes care of all sub contractors and deliveries and the whole process is stress free and efficient. People always comment of how amazing my home looks. She has done an excellent job of making my home unique, stylish but very functional. I highly recommend her.

> Completely renovating and decorating a 120-year-old brownstone in Chicago ten years ago--an adventure/trial for which I was woefully unprepared--I am very grateful that Carole Post was our interior design professional. She thoroughly knows the resources in Chicago. Because she actually listens to her clients, offering viable options and advise along the way, she honed in on what I expected from the project. Her excellent taste and obvious experience guided me through some daunting decisions, but at no time did she impose her own vision on me. She is also the client's advocate. Her acute attention to detail caught flaws in some pieces of custom furniture which, without her, I could have overlooked, and she managed all returns/complaints. This attention to detail also applies to a client's budget; costs and options were always thoroughly discussed. I highly recommend Carole Post.

> I have known Carole for over 10 years and have collaborated with her design firm on several projects helping to place substantial contemporary artworks with her clients. Carole’s energy is wonderful – she is a dream to work with. Her timeless approach to design along with subtle and elegant design sensibilities are in evidence throughout her process. Carole actively listens to her clients and provides inventive and meaningful design solutions. She goes the extra mile of helping her clients find artwork that not only enhances their interiors but is careful to ensure that the intrinsic and aesthetic value of the art is commensurate with the high level of finishes, furnishings and design. The value of this attention to detail is beyond measure!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Red oak stairs - Do I install white oak floors or red?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I am installing new hardwood stairs and flooring. The stairs are open riser and must have red oak treads (don't ask). I much prefer white oak and CAN have white oak floors but the question is ... Should I?
Is there a way to make the two work together? Or is it more important to have them match perfectly and I should choose red oak for the floor as well? I want the floors to be a light color but almost anything is fair game for the stair treads. The treads and the floor are coming from different vendors, if that matters. Thanks!

A: It makes no sense that you can't have white oak treads to match a desired white oak floor. If your flooring installer has told you this I'd get another estimate or two; in my 30+ years in the business I've never heard of this before. I would not recommend mixing the two wood species as it will look mismatched and unless going with a very dark stain, not even the best of floor finishers will be able to tone to blend the two.

**Q: Very nice bathroom! Can you please tell me what brand the sink is? Tkx** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The vessel sink is from hastings il bagno

**Q: where can i purchase the artwork on the wall?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The artwork on the wall is a series of 5 canvases that I made for my client.

**Q: Wood product type and metal joint trim? Pls & thx!** *(in Photo Questions)*

Thx!

A: The wood is a solid white oak that has been fumed and a custom finish applied. There is no metal join trim.

**Q: What's the name of the bed and the nighstands?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: These are custom pieces I designed for my client....

**Q: Where did you get the black headboards?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I'm redoing my room and my bed is in the corner of my room on one of the outside walls and my walls seem to get really cold

A: The upholstered blue violet wall headboard is something I designed and fabricated for a client.
