Not only did we need new furniture, we needed some type of window treatments. We went online and googled providers for plantation shutters. World Class Window Coverings was one of three stores we researched. My wife and I made a visit to their business showroom and were very happy from the start to finish. We were greeted by two representatives who were positive people with smiles on their faces. The office manager (Melisa Yocum, spouse of Dustin, owner.) made a call to Dustin (out on another appointment) to get in touch with us to set up an appointment for showing various window treatment products. Dustin gave us a call within a couple of hours that day and we set up a viewing a couple of days later. Dustin was punctual and very professional in his presentation. He was at our house approx. an hour and a half showing us various window treatments and their qualities. He also gaves us a price during that time frame. We purchased 9 plantation shutters for the house, paid a deposit for the special order and the order was made that day. We were told it would take approx. 6-8 weeks before the shutters would be in. Office personel e-mailed us 3 various times to keep us informed on how the order was progressing. The order came in 7 1/2 weeks and we were contacted to set up an installation date within 1 week of the call. We were also e-mailed besides the call. On the day of installation a crew of 4 men came to the house unloaded shutters and proper installation tools. 2 of the men left to another job site and the other 2 proceeded to install the shutters and 1 solar shade (ordered 2 weeks prior to the shutters being delivered), 4 hours later the job was completed. The men were extremely neat before, during, and after the job was completed. They set down tarps at each window and when finished used a shop vac to clean up any excess materials. My wife and I were very happy with the end product. Dustin was there during the process and made sure everything was done in an efficient manner. The installation of the shutters and shade completed the look and feel of our house. We are so glad that we picked World Class Window Coverings as the store to do business with. My existing furniture is left over from when I downsized to a town home 16 years ago. My home is decorated in a traditional style though casual style throughout. I would like, in particular, to get rid of the dining table and chairs. The chandelier is builder's grade and also needs replacing. I recently threw out the rug under the table. I would consider eating in my dining room if it was more inviting. Any ideas on how to create a new dining room that blends in with the living room a little more? I tried placing it in the living rm, but it's so square, and I'm not sure it's big enough. Besides, is it too much w/the pillows. 2\. I like my dining room table. I like the base design and that it has a glass top, so it can feel open & somewhat airy in the room. I don't mind the gold so much on the base b/c it's a bit muted and goes a bit with the pillows and possibly the wood. Yet, I detest the chairs, but the store forced me to take them! :'( I'm wondering if Wishbone chairs would go well. I want the chairs to have an open space in the back area, so the table base can be seen and it doesn't look too bulky in the area. 3\. Curtains, paint, move the bookcase, lose some of the pillows, another area rug, pictures, add a small entryway table opposite of the dining table with a mirror above it, and maybe some vases, etc., etc., etc. I like to shop @ the Flea Mrkt, Target, Home Goods, Pier 1, IKEA, garage sales, Arhaus, Pottery Barn, Z Gallerie, etc. HELP!!
