Her contacts and background allowed her to offer us a choice of unique, one of a kind items and beautiful vintage fabrics. You can not find these pieces in any store. Her local knowledge kept our style true to its heritage and we learned a lot about Santa Barbara history on the way. In fact, all of our rental guests commented on the home's detail to comfort, beauty and charm. > > Sheri offers practical solutions to challenging issues. For example, we have many windows of different sizes. Her idea to create custom "hacienda style" shutters not only solved the problem but added to the ambiance through out the house. It's a great rustic look. This has aged several years, but you can buy a product to age it instantly. **Q: Where did you get the stain color?** *(in Photo Questions)* I've been looking for a bright stain for my new porch swing and love this color! A: We believe the color is a solid Cabot stain (not sure name of color) that was applied and rubbed for an antique finish. The door was initially wire brushed for texture. **Q: Why is the cactus so near the door?** *(in Photo Questions)* Why are the cactuses so near the door ?I live on a cacti Island and I bet you it is not a good idea to have the cactuses so close to the door OOOPS ! I don't believe that fabric is available now, but making a duvet with a chosen exotic fabric is the best.
