Rod came up with the concept of a Craftsman inspired "Rustic Lake House" style, with lots of windows for for our beautiful views, exposed exterior timbers, cottage style windows, stone trim, stainless steel cables for deck railings, and a mix of clapboard and cedar shake shingle siding. We were very active in the design process and he was quite patient with us and supportive as we worked through about 12 plan versions over the course of a year. We are thrilled with the final result! Rod has a great eye for design, yet is very pragmatic, which is an important balance to find in an architect.
