Our project involved tearing out an old deck and patio area, and replacing with a new deck, patio, pergola, firepit, new trees, and new planting beds. GreenScapes began the project as a subcontractor, and after the project was abruptly cancelled by the original general contractor just 2 weeks in, GreenScapes assumed the contract, which they were under no obligation to do. We could not have been more thankful that GreenScapes agreed to do this. It was a difficult situation that involved a lot of complexity and give-take in reconciling the work still to be completed against our original contract while finding a new subcontractor to complete the carpentry work. GreenScapes under the leadership of lead architect Kyle Adams was able to keep the financial side of the project within our original parameters while completing the work as specified with a new sub as part of the arrangement. Kyle was outstanding to work with and remains our partner in ongoing considerations and possibilities for our landscape design. From the beginning he showed a huge commitment to the quality and outcomes of the work, as if it had been his project from day 1. As usual with these projects, there were a lot of details and curveballs, and a few change orders to be addressed as the work progressed. And Kyle was always there and in close contact with us about the progress of the work. Kyle even attended to some of the detail work himself. The crew from GreenScapes especially the crew leads Humberto and Lee were very friendly and we enjoyed having them around. Even several months after the project was completed, we are in close contact with Kyle about the project to ensure that everything is as it should be after settling and winter. We would hire GreenScapes again in a heartbeat and remain grateful that they rescued our project and drove it to a great outcome. **★★★★★ — Shelley/Lon Smith, Dec. 2015** > We were completing a kitchen renovation with Dave Fox and decided to redo our outdoor patio area. We were introduced to Marc Aubry and GreenScapes through Dave Fox. Marc was wonderful to work with and he helped us through all phases of the design and build processes. Our project manager. Curtis, was terrific as well. We wanted a large waterfall, lots of stone, natural plantings, and a paver patio with cobbled walkway to our deck. Not only did he find the stone but he had it delivered and installed before our important deadline. It is also noteworthy that this summer a friend asked if she could throw a "garden party" baby shower for one of her friends in our backyard!
