> The initial contract was signed on January 2, 2017 and the contract stated the projects would start on January 9, 2017 and take approximately six weeks. There were a few change orders issued during the process, but in the end after approximately 16 weeks and the initial contract and change orders were paid in full, none of the projects were near completion and our house has been a mess for months. We asked Kris, the owner of Precision Home Concepts, what needed to be done to wrap things up. He said he was sending out another company to bid out all remaining tile work, which he did and led us to believe they would be coming out late April. We called that company a week later to confirm their arrival time and they stated they had never been hired and were not coming to our house. Around the same time, we received an invoice from the countertop supplier for bathroom countertops which had not been paid (approximately $3,700) by Precision even though we had paid Precision for the countertops. We knew we had been scammed when we received a call from the shower door company regarding delivery and we suggested they check with the contractor regarding planned delivery. They responded that they understood we had parted ways with Kris. This was news to us, as we were not told this and our house was left in shambles. We had to start over and get bids for what it would cost to complete the projects, but most contractors would not touch it because of shoddy work performed by Precision. The entire shower had to be torn out and redone from scratch because it was not waterproofed properly and would cause leaks, additional damage, mold, etc. Kris had his guys put tile on our 19' tall wall for the fireplace and not only did the craftsmanship look bad, the tile wasn't tied in and therefore, could collapse at any minute and was a hazard and had to be torn down. There were similar issues with the fireplace area in the hearth room. The framing behind the tile was barely attached and our new contractors said it would have fallen as soon as a television was attached. The stone around the fireplace wasn’t finished either as they had no idea how to make it all fit together. Kris’ painter had no idea what he was doing as some areas he painted had no paint, other areas had globs of paint and everywhere he simply painted over sawdust rather than removing before painting. At the end of the day, we are out a lot of time and money and had a house that was torn apart. Kris was paid over $39,000 and we paid another $9,000 in tile, countertops, etc. that basically had to be purchased twice only for Kris to mess up everything he touched and leave us high and dry with our home in disrepair. We are just now, 2 years later, wrapping up having all of Kris’ faulty construction corrected by competent contractors.
