Because of the perfectly distributed weight and other thoughtful design features, it is a “one hand tear” operation, that does not tip or slip when in use, and the subsequent paper towel is left in perfect position for the next time. This handmade ceramic paper towel holder is currently available in ten glaze colors and several designs. We formulate and mix our own glazes, therefore many colors are unique to Paxis Place Pottery. We introduce several new colors each year and continue to expand the number of design themes available. We produce other handmade clay pieces for the kitchen including, canisters, berry bowls, platter bowls, and casseroles to name a few. For these items the color and design can be coordinated with our paper towel holders. Everything is made and fired in our studio, where we use only food safe glazes and the utmost care. ### Areas Served - Severn ## Business Details | Field | Value | | --- | --- | | Business Name | Paxis Place Pottery | | Address | Severn, Maryland 21144, United States | | Phone | (443) 889-8577 | | Website | http://paxisplace.com | | Followers on Houzz | 63 | ## Contact - **Houzz profile:** [Paxis Place Pottery](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/artists-and-artisans/paxis-place-pottery-pfvwus-pf~152006579) - **Website:** http://paxisplace.com - **Phone:** (443) 889-8577 ## Credentials - **Best of Houzz:** 1 award (2016), for Service. ## Reviews **Overall rating: 5.0 out of 5 — 3 reviews** ### All 3 reviews **★★★★★ — Kim Sobolewski, June 2015** > I recently received the 'Nutmeg Glaze Waveform Design' and it looks simply beautiful in my kitchen. It is such a high quality, stunning way to hold paper towels. The towels dispense with ease and I absolutely love it! Shipping was super speedy and very well packaged. I couldn't be happier and I highly recommend this product!! **★★★★★ — bungalowarthouzz, Dec. 2014** > Beauty and Function! I discovered this beautiful paper towel dispenser at a juried art show and sale in the DC metro area. I bought one for our kitchen and couldn't be happier. Instead of an unsightly roll of paper towels on a rod or on the counter, we now have a functional piece of art that's easy on the eyes and equally easy to use. **★★★★★ — psmercer, Aug. 2014** > I have one of these and now I am purchasing one to give as a wedding present. Until you have one, you have no idea what you are missing! One hand operation! Tearing towel off with one hand is a breeze! Holder is sturdy and does not tip over. Easy to replace paper towels! Worth every penny! ## Selected projects - [WaveForm Design](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/waveform-design-pj-vj~562519) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 10 - Description: Approximately 14 ½ inches tall Takes a large size roll Made by hand of sturdy stoneware ceramic One hand operation Removable lid for easy loading Perfectly weighted so the holder is stable - [Carved Leaves Design](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/carved-leaves-design-pj-vj~848063) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 5 - Description: Approximately 14 ½ inches tall Takes a large size roll Made by hand of sturdy stoneware ceramic One hand operation Removable lid for easy loading Perfectly weighted so the holder is stable [See all 2 projects](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/artists-and-artisans/paxis-place-pottery-pfvwus-pf~152006579) ## Community Q&A **Q: Kitchen Question** *(in Design Dilemma)* In the real world, not the design world, do you, or can you, leave out your paper towels and napkins and salt and pepper on the kitchen counters for easy use? I ordered a really nice one from potterybarn and would like to put it in the powder room.
