It required taking the old windows out (from 1987), protecting the roofing, shingles and installing new flashing kits, installing the new wiindows and then replacing the trim inside. The crew did an excelent job, maintained the watertight integrity of the roof, and installed and did the trim around the windows in a day and a half! They cleaned up and removed all the old debris. The joinery and trim is perfect. We are very pleased with their work, and I am happy to recommend them! They arrived on time and before we got done saying hello to the crew chief the other crew members were setting up and ripping out windows. These guys were a well oiled machine. Everyone knew their jobs. They worked independently and together as needed. The Crew was fast, accurate, knowledgable, polite and very clean. They were in my home for 2 days. Nothing was broken or scratched or damaged. I didn’t find any dust, wood chips, paper or any type of trash left behind. I inspected every window trying to find a single flaw. Couldn’t find one. Hard to believe but it’s true. I don't know how they define quality - when they installed the aluminum capping on the new Pella windows I purchased they installed it over instead of under the fascia. This has caused water infiltration. Anyone who knows anything about construction knows that everything overlaps top over bottom not the other way around. Greg, who does sales, was very helpful and courteous through the initial process of deciding on the scope of work and signing the contract. His installation staff were also professional when they came on site. The problems began when the installers realized after coming onsite for install that they didn't have shutters, and I had to point out that the hardware they ordered was not as per the contract. This mishap was frustrating since I had taken a work holiday to be at home during the construction. After about 4 weeks, they said they got the correct materials and were ready for install but after scheduling a date with me, at the last minute, Wayne, the install manager, realized that the shutters were incorrect. I then had to email and call over and over again to finally get a date for them to come to the site. When they came back with the new shutters, they looked nothing like the existing shutters they were supposed to match. At that point, I was tired of the back and forth with these guys and at their suggestion, kept part of the contract money and got a carpenter to finish their job. We're in a contemporary and the sliders we replaced were aluminum. We opted for fiber glass - a larger frame than the aluminum, but much smaller than vinyl. We went with T&Y because they could provide us with what we wanted... a non-white frame (indoors and out), matching frames in all the sizes we needed (the patio sliders are different sizes - our second choice, Marvin, couldn't supply the same style in the 2 sizes, and were way more expensive), and extremely reasonable pricing. We've had the windows for going on two years now, and they are fabulous. Made the house more comfortable, and lowered the heating, and cooling, bill. They were installed in a timely fashion, clean-up was impeccable...
