One area that has been extremely popular for our company has been in the area of Kitchen Cabinet Resurfacing. There are thousands of homes that are beautiful, well built and in magnificent neighborhoods. Part of retaining the value of a home is to invest in updating kitchens and bathrooms. Most cabinets and the layouts of them are actually in good shape and work very well.

We discovered that by using a multistep process: preparing the surfaces perfectly, applying industrial oil base coatings and finishing with custom detailing and polyurethane sealant (flat, satin, semi-gloss) one can take those very serviceable though perhaps outdated cabinets and not only refresh them but make them look as though they are brand new. This can include a custom match to new granite, backsplash, floors and walls, literally creating a completely new updated space for a fraction of the cost of replacing them! This also includes adding new islands or cabinet banks to the area as the paint will match the old and the new so perfectly there is no was to tell the difference. For a fraction of the cost of new cabinets it is often possible to have an entirely new look in a short amount of time.

> Serge and Chris replaced all of the doors with high quality materials and painted the exterior of our kitchen cabinets. The work they did - the painting the cabinetry, and finishes were absolutely first rate! Without replacing anything else in our large 30+ year old kitchen, it looks brand new. They are meticulous and genuinely nice people as well as excellent at their craft.

> We have been more than thrilled with the “new” look of our kitchen. Chris and Serge transformed our dark and dated kitchen cabinets into a brighter and cleaner looking kitchen by painting them with their professional expertise. It truly looks like a “new” kitchen, but at a fraction of the cost of installing new ones. Chris was so helpful with choosing the paint color and making other suggestions to modernize our kitchen. Serge was able to match up a missing cabinet door and add crown molding to enhance the look. They were both so pleasant to communicate with and efficient in their work. They were quick to respond, timely and neat. We had the work done two years ago now and the paint has held up well and they wash up easily as promised. Also, I accidentally dinged a cabinet after the work was done and Serge kindly came and made the repair quickly. We are so grateful we chose this expert team to do our kitchen cabinets. Money well spent!

> We had our kitchen cabinets painted by Christine a few years ago. They look just as amazing today as they did when they were first done! She does impeccable work!

> If you are reading this review, you are seriously considering painting your kitchen cabinets AND wondering if Chris and Serge are the ones you want to do the job for you. I will help you make that decision. My cabinets were a medium shade of oak; neither old nor ugly. I just wanted them to be beautiful. I would imagine my kitchen lined with creamy cabinetry but I didn't want to go through the process of finding professional painters only to be disappointed by their lack of enthusiasm, exorbitant estimates, afraid they would scratch my hardwood floors, or not show up at all!! Several of my neighbors wrote about their experiences with Brilliant Cabinet Solutions in our "neighbor app" where we share information with others in our immediate community. Chris and Serge came up over and over again when anyone asked for a recommendation for cabinetry painting. Now I know why. Wow! Excellent. Professional. Interested. Passionate. Experienced. Clean. Motivated. ON TIME AND ON SCHEDULE. Easy to work with. Easy to talk to. The result: Gorgeous. Perfection. Attention to detail. They delivered all I had hoped and more than I imagined. I was so happy with their work ethic, the entire process, and my beautiful kitchen cabinets. My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner!!!! Thank you so much, Chris and Serge. You guys are awesome.

> Christine and Serge were so wonderful to work with. Christine has a great eye for color and spent the time with me to ensure that our kitchen cabinet paint project would turn out better than expected. Chris and Serge worked within our rushed time frame to complete the painting before our contractors arrived for the rest of the renovation. Our cabinetry now looks brand new! Only wish I had more projects for them!

> Thank you Chris and Serge for transforming my modest kitchen into an updated, perfectly color coordinated focal point of my home. Fitting new cabinets into my kitchen would have been an enormous expense involving the need for new granite. In three weeks, you turned my kitchen into something I had been trying to accomplish for years. I love my new kitchen and the compliments that continue from everyone who enters. I also appreciate the professionalism, prompt follow through and affordability.

> High quality work done by Christine Latham. I couldn't be happier with my beautiful cabinets. From drab brown wood to beautifully detailed off white painted finish! Work was professional in every way from beginning to end. I highly recommend Chris and Serge.

> Excellent, professional, conscientious, exceptional attention to detail. Chris and Surge are a wonderful team. Precision in all aspects of their work. They transformed my cabinets and walls. I have an updated kitchen at a fraction of a new remodel! Received many compliments from friends and family. The painted cabinets are to perfection! It looks as though they were done in a factory!

  - Description: This is an amazing kitchen with all of the cabinets that one could want, of very high quality, tons of space and a layout to die for. Though they are Early 90's, and plain white, with the previous grey white and pink fleck granite, they felt really dated. The client was doing a major overhaul of the house upon moving in and the house matches the size of the kitchen so you can imagine that her hands were full with all kinds of projects! As no layout needed to be changed, we started with the color…

  - Location: Buffalo, NY

  - Description: This house is large and beautifully laid out. While the cabinets are very well made and there are many of them, there was an overabundance of golden oak in the space, especially with the oak paneled soffit above the cabinet. A neutral cream colored man made counter top was a good stable point to start from. The white bath tile back splash, so popular with homes from this period was replaced with a gorgeous stone tile (travertine) found by the owner that created some interest and texture. The esp…

  - Description: These cabinets are typical of so many homes. They are in good shape and are very solid but the finish is just dated. It does nothing for the amazing red and black granite counter tops and the flooring somewhat fights with the wood of the cabinetry. The correct color scheme to bring the palate into the current trend and a timeless subway tile back splash(with an elegant decorative strip found by the owner) coordinated to the scheme made an amazing update for a fraction of the cost of replacement!
- [Medium color wood to off white with white subway tile and granite counter tops](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/medium-color-wood-to-off-white-with-white-subway-tile-and-granite-counter-tops-pj-vj~1681138)
  - Location: Buffalo, NY
  - Photos: 13
  - Description: This Kitchen is one of our favorites! The client decided on a beautiful white, gray and blueish green granite that is the show stopper of the room. Everything else is there to make it look good, and it does the trick. In some of the before pictures it is obvious that the previous island was too small for the size of the rest of the kitchen and adding a new, larger espresso colored island with seating room for most of the neighborhood kids was a real plus for entertaining. The clients find on the…
- [Dark grain oak to Black](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/dark-grain-oak-to-black-pj-vj~1681261)
  - Location: Buffalo, NY
  - Photos: 8
  - Description: This wonderful client of ours wanted to change the whole look of her kitchen. She has wonderful design style and since the back splash had just been put in we decided to go with the black from the tile and then create a Tuscan taupe faux plaster from other elements from the back splash to balance the rest of the room. The bead board on the island is a nice touch always to hide heavy traffic marks and now the wood of the floor isn't fighting the cabinets.
- [Maple to cream farmhouse kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/maple-to-cream-farmhouse-kitchen-pj-vj~1676733)
  - Location: Buffalo, NY
  - Photos: 11
  - Description: This "Farmhouse Kitchen" is really a Farmhouse Kitchen on an amazing sheep farm in the hills of western NY! As we sometimes tend to have gray and long winters these clients wanted to take this space and bring a little spring to counter the sometimes drab of the weather. The clients stained the beams and the Island, bringing the colors of the ceramic tile and island granite to the forefront. Counter top replacement to a cream granite with pops of the rust color tie into the palate while not overw…

  - Location: Not specified
  - Photos: 8
  - Description: This kitchen is just beautiful but subtly the woods of the floor, stools and the door clashed with the cabinets, and the stone back splash was to heavy a feature for the delicate color of the cabinetry. By moving the cabinets into a medium earthy gray palate the woods quit fighting each other and the dark color of the island tied in the darkest color of the stone as well as allowed for the inclusion of some beautiful black hardware that the owner found, mirroring the wrought iron of the stools.
